I went to take the fuse outta my power wire and dropped it into the engine bay area. Can It hurt anything in there? I was hope'n it'd fall all the way through but it didn't.

2Scoops, by dropping the fuse in there it will not do anything at all. the worst thing it can happen it will make some noise and rattle out of there when you will drive the car.

thanks! I was worried it'd catch an electric current from somewhere and blow me up!

That's not a hundred percent correct. If by some strange chance the fuse falls into an area where it could bridge a power source, it may cause some slight electric run before blowing itself up... unless the power through it doesn't cause it to blow, in which case you just end up draining power --
Don't forget that anything that the fuse touches is basically considered an earth ground, so if one end (or both, for that matter) touches anything with power flowing, it's going to short the earth ground on the car....

all positive terminals are protected in the engine bay... i wouldn't worry about bridging anything.... (unless you removed the cover)

In order for the fuse to do any harm. there must be open circuit or open wires in the engine bay!!!!
Now if the fuse drops in to the open circuit yes there will be harm made. but there are no open wires at least there should not be any, so yes it is 100% correct it will not do any harm.

What are the chances that a fuse dropped in the engine compartment would land or get wedged into an uncovered open circuit...... I think I've got better chances winning the powerball lottery.
