Okay folks, here's the deal. :)
We have a choice of two places to park and meet up right near Fisherman's Wharf/Pier 39. One of them is the Pier 39 parking garage at the apex of Beach st. and Embarcardero. The other is about a block or two down (from what the map shows, though for all I know they could be the same) which is at Beach & Hyde. I don't know what the rates are for the Pier 39 parking garage, but the one I called is 12.00 MAXIMUM for the day, so I'm guessing if we just park for a couple hours it'll be like 5 bucks.
Good things: Not as many tourists in SF during January, so we're less likely to have a hard time parking.
So, let's go ahead and meet @ the CityPark parking garage off Beach and Hyde street, top floor, @ 1:30pm pacific this saturday. If it's full, we'll meet at the one off Beach and Embarcadero (if they're different ;))
Directions
From east bay/sacto, take the Bay Bridge into SF, exit Embarcadero (IIRC there is an exit for that..) and go north on Embarcadero.
From south bay/peninsula, take 101 or 280 north to SF. When you get into the SF area there will be an merge between 101 and 280. Get onto 280 north. That will dump you onto King Street which eventually turns into Embarcadero. You'll be driving along the piers for a while, so don't worry about it. I'd tell you a faster way but Thai Rice and Sean would get lost. :rofl:
Estimated expenses: Up to 12.00 for parking, bring another 10.00 for lunch
