Bad luck or bad shops?

Do the repair gods despise me or are shops not the least bit careful?

When I got my car back from Furious Imports, my rim was scarred; the scratches were so deep that the rim is rusting. Not to mention that I couldn't set the alarm on my car because my trunk wouldn't close completely. Then I discovered that the locking nut holding my wheel hub in place was loose, causing my rotor to rub against the caliper bracket and probably leading to premature wheel bearing failure. That should have been caught by FI when they did the alignment they said they did.

Today I got the wheel hub checked out at Auto Tech of Tysons. When I went to pickup my car, I found the paint had fractured due to stress on the sideskirts at the spot where they would have jacked/lifted the car. :mad:

I just can't seem to win. :banghead:

I know that a couple members mentioned how unhappy they were with furious imports and the way they treated one member I would never recommend them to anyone, just my opinion

well, at least some shop managers are reasonable. :rolleyes:

although Auto Tech of Tysons didn't admit fault, they accepted my request to pay for half the cost of getting my side skirt re-painted.

Another reason I will never hand my car over to a shop... Just can't trust 'em to treat my baby like I would treat her... They just don't have time or honestly care. Sorry to hear of your additional misfortune.

I have trusted my car with Furious Imports time after time... I will not stop taking my car to them unless there is an issue in which they can't or won't resolve.. I just don't like people talking bout companies when they have never been to the shop..

I let Gary know who had the problems so it's not heresay from me, he can actually speak with the person who said they had the horrible experience...but you know what they say in business if you give one person bad service and they tell a friend that person is going to come to you for business..well my friend said they had bad service so I believe them and won't go, no hard feelings, just not taking any chances.
