it has come to my attention that there is a question of whether or not i should still be a moderator of this chapter. well i wanna say a few things . im not going to start drama so im gonna make this clear.. i will be stepping down as the moderator. i will pm mercmobile and have me removed as moderator. but i wish to make some statements..
I am not angry at all the pms about me .. im not that type of person . i just wish that if you had something to say you would say it to my face,

I will recomend that the current moderators (sassycat, ivo) will remain and no one will take my place as for they do a good job

i think that its kinda fitting that i believe that i was one of the founding people of this chapter and a question of why i was made a mod in the first place ever came up.. i thought that is why we split up from the north east in the first place . to get away from a dictator ship and have a chapter where no one cares about moderators or chapter presidents or regulated meets. just a bunch of cool people talking having fun and thats i what i loved about mass conn .

in closing i leave you with a simple though . you never know i could be back in ct tomorrow . and if i do know this .. you doubt me i wont think anything of it . ill still be me . i ll be the mark you came to know . i will not think anyless of anyone and i will respect people who give me their honest opinions openly and not hide anything .

p.s i know deep down who my friends are . pretty much everyone here. thanks again .

I wasn't around for the ne split thing but i always enjoy talking with ya mark. moderator or not. i see no problem if you moved back to conn to still be a part of mass/conn which i feel you still are but just not a mod. hey now you can come to OT and cause trouble with me

This really sucks. Mark, you and about ~8 others (myself included) started Mass/Conn. I hate to see ya step down as our mod. That said, I hate even worse to see ya in NJ and not here with us, we miss ya.

And now so there is NO misunderstandings:

1) Mark, this is NOTHING like NE NECO and there is no dictarorship and under no circumstances do I or Sassy feel any "special" just because were the moderators. We're still the same people you know, we're still your friends.

2) The question as to why you were made a mod in the first place is news to me. In case someone here doesnt know, we all took a vote and Mark and I were nominated for moderators.

3) The general feeling from everyone is simply that since you moved you have not been participating both online here and in person at meets. No, no one here expects you to post daily and make every meet or anything like NE NECO. But as a moderator, one would expect some time dedicated to it. That's it, nothing more, nothing less.

4) No one here as far as I know thinks any less of you. You are welcome at any of our meets and we hope you keep visiting here and making posts on how things are doing down in Jersey.

5) To prove that this WAS NOT a dictarorship, I took several comments, questions and complaints for ~2 months until yesterday, to which I did not make any kind of decision on my own. A vote was held by PM in which over 15 Mass/Conn members were contacted in regards to whether or not you should remain as our moderator. Mass/Conn belongs to its members and not to any one or x amount of moderators. Decisions of this type will be held by majority vote. #3 shows everyone's feeling, and so far, EVERYONE voted the same.

We all love you Mark, make no mistake about it. Please dont take this the wrong way or hold any grudges against anyone.

Mark u helped me realize what I was doing wrong when talking to my father about modding...now we share some similar interests and he will be helping me with some stuff b4 CF... Just like Ivo said-we all love u- and I just wanted to say that I appreciate everything that everyone has done for me.

Mass/Conn=#1!!! :)

Actually not to bring up old news, but how was the NE NECO chapter considered a "dictatorship"? It's in the rules for starting up a chapter, to have 4 meetings a year which members who wanted to be part of the chapter had to attend. This is why you give them your info, so they know who's in what chapter. You could still post in NE NECO even if you didn't go to the meets.

I respect most of you.. (Mark, Ivo, Sassy.. you guys know I do).. but Mel did a hell of a Job.. she had a lot of work to do.. Northeast covered a huge territory and had a lot of people... she never wanted to split it because it would leave VT, NH, ME, and RI out in the dark.. and with not enough people to start their own chapter why split it..

I respect Mark's decision, especially since he made it on his own terms.. however, I do not appreciate anyone saying anything regarding XTC and the way she ran the now defunct NECO Northeast.. she is a great friend to me and I still believe she ran that chapter with a badge of excellence.

merc, and john you are right in some aspect ,, mellisa did have a big job trying to get stuff done inside the northeast chapter. she did a great job and im not taking that away from her. but she didnt like the fact that we were trying to setup meetings outside her meets.. its cool. we didnt want them to count as the (4) mandatory meets , we just want to meet up and have fun,, cruise the pike and such. that is what im trying to get at.. i liked mellisa cuz she was always down to do a group thing to the beach or to a resturant that made us sick(hehehhe) the only 2 meets i made it to . thats the point im trying to get at .

As for me not being on the boards and making to meets. i just moved and wasnt able to setup a steady access to the internet and for missing the meet.. i had to work .. i dont think you can hold that against me .. but i realize i dont live in mass conn anymore so i stepped down .. i consider you all friends and me moving wont change that fact in my mind. have a great day and ill talk to you later byebye

um ok then ....

and in defense of my decision to push for the seperation or the creation of Mass/Conn Knibbs had a statement that I would like to quote

she did a great job and im not taking that away from her. but she didnt like the fact that we were trying to setup meetings outside her meets.. its cool. we didnt want them to count as the (4) mandatory meets , we just want to meet up and have fun,, cruise the pike and such.

Yo mark, best of luck in jersey. Its sad to see ya step down as MOD. I remember at Import Xpressions on Long Island, over the summer, you all talking about your new chapter, and at the Rhode Island meet when it was still Neco N.E., you talking about starting Mass Conn.
I was a member, of Northeast for a little while, and know how hard it was to set stuff up for the whole east coast. In a way, I'm glad that Mass Conn was set up. Also, it was with Mark's inspiration, that Long Island NECO is now set up, and thriving. Hope everything turns out for the best, and I'm here to tell ya that you did a great job. Peace

Pablo
