Hey
I installed my indiglo gauges from custom cougars, everything went fine but one thing. From the little transformer box or whatever it is, a high pitched hum comes out, its not that loud but enough that you can hear it from the driver seat while sitting with no music on. Any idea what this could be? Its not too big of a deal, but its pretty annoying
Thanks for any help

99% of the time it's because the power wire leading to the Indiglo gauges is very near or on top of or crossing over a speaker wire somewhere in the installation. The factory wires aren't very insulated, and if one of the speaker wires comes remotely close to a power wire it'll hum through the speakers. That's why it's recommended to run RCA's and/or speaker wires down one side of the vehicle and the power wires down the other when doing an amp-in-the-trunk install, but the same concept goes for this.

You might want to also check the ground or even move it to another location, if noise still exist you can kill it by using a filter.

i don't have them but I'm gonna say it's normal. I have something similar suck to the underside of the gas tank of my cycle to illuminate the engine. the box hums as well although you can't hear it  all you can hear is the sweet rumble of a v-twin

The hum is the transformer itself. Some types of power converters make humming noises from the current. I Still havent found a way to kill it.
