Hey, IL NECO's Feb meet will be the Chicago Auto Show. We had two weekends to choose from... the 15/16th or the 22/23rd... the 15/16th is out since that's Valentine's Weekend. So vote above for if you'd rather go on Saturday the 22nd, or Sunday the 23rd.

The dead line for voting is Wednesday then I'll email the announcement.

I think Saturday would be best for me.

It looks like it will be a Saturday...

ah hell with it, Feb's meet to be on Saturday, Feb 22nd.

What time would be a good time to meet? and where? Who is up for car pooling since it will cost to park most likely?

how much do you think the parking would cost?? Car pooling is no fun...that limits the number of Cougars! If it's not too expensive, I say we all drive there and give the people at the show a little "extra show" in the parking lot when they come in!!

I should be able to make it up for this, and Sat would be best for me.

I'd recommend car pooling because I kind of remember parking being like $15-20 per car. Based on other events I've gone to at Soldier Field/McCormick Place, we'd be lucky to find parking spots near each other if we each drove seperately unless we get there really early or parked really far away.

I think last year it was 12 to park and 10 to get in. could be wrong but i remember that it was more to park than to get in.

also, if we don't get separated in the parking lot, we will by downtown traffic

I volenteer NOT to drive! :) I hate driving downtown and unless you want a grumpy HugNSmile1, I recommend me NOT to be a driver.

whats wrong with driving downtown?..i do every weekday to go to college(UIC)...on the other hand, pls don't make me lead driver cause i have no clue the way around chicago:)...car pooling is fine for a few peeps but i feel a meet should mean an array of cougars.

Well, the plan will be to meet somewhere the cougars can be left safely if someone should decide to car pool with someone else. But everyone is of course welcome to drive their own cougars downtown. Last year, Heather was the only person who opted to car pool, so I expect no different this year. :)

Heather, do you think it would be fine if we met in the parking lot of your apts? That lot behind it where Kyle and I installed neons seems a pretty open and safe place to leave cars if necesary. After the meet we can eat somewhere... to be decided at the show.

I am fine with meeting at my apartment if that is where everyone wants to meet. People can leave their car there w/out a problem.
