Your assistance, please!

Hello, NorCal types.

Need some advice from y'all:

How do I convince my girlfriend to come to NECO meets with me? She's into cars(w00t!), and likes mine, but by all appearances, is adamantly against attending any meets. Reasons given: Doesn't like strangers, and doesn't want to be razzed for what she drives(which shall remain unknown).

I figure if I can convince her to come, I'll finally have tangible proof for you all that I'm -not- gay.

Just express to her that it's something you enjoy and that you like hanging out with us. If she wants to, she does, if she doesn't, she doesn't. Don't worry about it if she doesn't. We're not a bunch of freaks (Okay, that's a lie), and we're not gonna raz anyone for what they drive (So she drives a Civic, huh?).. okay, we will razz them, but purely in a joking manner. ;)

That's all you can really do. :)

Maybe see if she wants to bring a friend, so she has someone to relate to, and talk about how weird we are ;) Just let her know that we usually just meet up to chit chat grab some grub and take a few pics. Also, we were all still 'strangers' to you at first but that didnt stop you from coming out :disgust::biggrin: :shrug:

And we're not a bunch of internet rapists... which is probably what she's afraid of, being that you two are in High School still, and that is the stereotypical fear parents of high schoolers attempt to put in their children's heads:rolleyes:

So yeah, you've met us, and you should be able to honestly tell her that she has nothing to be afraid of.... Except maybe seeing you get ***** slapped back to your diapers:shrug: but that really depends on her opinion of YOU;)
