NA...I;d go no larger than a 2.5" mandrel bent pipe...so a 2.25" or 2.5" would be fine...
If you go FI, then 3" all the way...

Everything I've been reading and hearing indicates that NA 2.5L exhale best with 2.5" - but I haven't had experience with different sizes myself.
Match diameter in inches to metric displacement? 2.5" with 2.5L, 3" with 3.0L, etc?

If you are using a Y-pipe then 2.5" mandrel bent single is the route to take.
Straight through resonator & muffler too! Perforated core. Nothing louvered!

3" inch is too big for a non-FI 2.5. you will loose flow and hence lose hp. 2.5 inch is the biggest you should go for n/a 2.5.

naw i was looking at getting headers and doin all the svt stuff (no engine swap) and i wanted to do a true dual exhaust and was wondering what piping size would go best...if i did get FI i would go supercharger anyways

if your going for true duals then that changes the story entirely..
2.0 for normal 2.5
2.25 for sc/n20 2.5
