Stock Tape switghin to Stock CD Player help

I am about to purchase a stock CD player from one of the board members. I want to make sure thats all I need before I purchase it though. I can just pull out my stock tape deck and plug in the new CD player right? It shoulw be as simple as that or am I completely wrong?

if it is from the same model year, Yes. If not you might have to rewire it.

There was a change in the wiring harnesses in the middle of the 2000 year. I'd double check the harness before buying to be sure. If they are the same, it'll be a direct plug in.

The 99-00's have 2 8-wire, rectangluar plugs and a square plug.
The 00 1/2-02's have 2 square plugs.
