Well at least this company makes their box look pretty while they are ripping people off for the iat mod that can be done for $5 using the how to in our forums.

 :poke:

Q. Will I have to run premium fuel or change my thermistat like the JET V-Chip requires?

A. We did not run into any situation with the stage 1 G-Box where premium fuel was required. We estimate that 10% of engines will need premium fuel with the Stage 2 G-Box, however the stage 2 is still in the prototype phase and currently unavailable. Premium fuel may enhance the performance gains acquired from these units, but is not required. Changing the thermistat will not be necessary for the use of either unit.

  I guess a pinging engine is a good thing acording to their research.

Yeah, I saw that on Ebay...it's probably one of these (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?cgiurl=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2 F&krd=1&from=R8&MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&query=Cougar+mod).

"Why buy a turbo when you can have this MOD?!?!?!?!?" .....Um, yeah. Okay.

if they make this and sell it as a product, does that mean the $5 IAT mod is safe for our cars? (This is the mod with the resistor right?) Would we need to put different fuel in if we use this mod?

A. They are lying to people.
B. They are ripping people off.

Yes you must use premium fuel when using the iat mod to prevent pinging. Is it safe to use on our cars, well I couldn't say, but I wouldn't go by their say so that it is. Everything they say on the website I would take as worthless. Some of the info on the iat mod may be correct, but that would be purely through luck.
