Mass/Conn demolition team..whos in?

We have a den mo down the road from my house at the seekonk speedway oval track twice a year. on 4th of july and labor day weekend. great day...demos,spectator drags(my cougars gonna enter),regular races,figure 8 demo race,fireworks etc..

i was thinking alot of my buddies have there teams like for their garages they work for and stuff like that.

lets make a mass/conn neco team. you get the car and i'm sure i can keep it here. nothing expensive but something old and big. i should be able to find cars relatively sheap $50-200. its fun to cause ya destroy the car, paint the **** out of it and make it look nasty and kill it in the demo.

I have an 85 ish chevy caprice, V6 at my disposal. V6 means there is about 16 inches between radiator and engine. It runs and drives, but blows oil smoke. I will be out for the events, but I would love to turn some wrenches and cut some sheet metal on a demo car again. Its something we have no track to run on since Six Flags took over Riverside Park and got rid of the track. Fourth of July weekend is the Summer Nationals in Worcester. I think it would be awesome to have a line of cougars, at least for one day of the show.

The Summer Nationals rock!!!! I totally agree the cats should be in the show. We went last year and kicked ourselves in the @ss for not putting ours in.

And Cougardemon.......we're in for a demo team.....Can I drive it? Pretty please.:wiggle:

yea yous could keep em in my backyard. we'll either pull em in the garage one at a time or just lay a few tarps down in the yard so the glass doesnt go everywhere. i'm looking around for a old pre 75 station wagon or something.

Hey lets swap the syncros in the tranny and have 4 reverse gears and 1 forward... HEHEHE. It is possible. Talked to my causing who did the demo derbys in NH....

ummm the only way to get 4 reverse gears is to flip the rear axle (on a rear wheel drive)

Ok there is another step to reversing a transmisson... I can't remember and i meant it on a MTX anyways.... Who wants an automatic demo car... Thats asking for problems... Ok maybe it isn't the syncros... I can't remember exactly there is something however you go inside the tranny and reverse the internals... EXCUSE ME FOR BEING WRONG.... Only kidding but it is possible besides flipping the rear axle over..

actually the best bet to winning a demo is use front and back equally in hitting and try to hit them square on.
