Anyone tried it?

I recently put one of these in my car (my dad had it in his Santa Fe, took it out when he traded it, put it in his Kia Sorento) then decided I'd yoink it and see if it does increase power. I saw a drastic different in idle time and noise in the exhaust, and it works like a lil' mini turbo! You feel it from off the line but it really kicks in hard when you hit passing hear later on... I also have it in conjunction with a K+N Air Filter and when I can hook up that little resistor trick that supposedly adds quite a bit to your car's power... (I just don't feel like doing anything in the cold :))

Just a reccomendation, I'd say put one of these in your car for whatever reason... to me it was totally worth the 70 bucks, with the dual exit exhaust, K+N air filter, and tornado filter, the computer reads an average of 21 miles per gallon, and all my driving is alot of stop n go to straight roads of 45mph+.

:) Just my two cents, some people say they work, some don't, I was skeptical on our cougars seeing as there's one tiny lil place to put it in.:) I believe it's money back guareteed if you don't see an increase in performance anyways (strongly suggest you do the K+N in conjunction with it)

Wait... you have it on your car now?! And it works for you!? Hell, you gotta come to a meet soon so I can see that for myself. I've seen it before, but figured there was no way it could work. I didn't figure it would spin fast enough to keep up with the engine's air needs even at low rpm's... let alone high rpm's.

The tornado system doesn't spin (I think) It directs the air into a spiral. Sorta like when you have two pop bop bottles, fill one with water, and connect the two with that tornado thing. It's suppose to make the air coming in go faster by making the air flow more efficient.

I don't see how it would work though, I would think it would be more of an obstruction. But hey, if you say it works, maybe it does? Or it could be a psychological thing..

I'm thinking of the wrong thing then... I thought he was talking about the "electric turbo" I see on ebay all the time... where a fan is run by electricity to blow air into your engine. I'll have to do a search on the Tornado to see what it is.

I see want to see it.

I honestly saw a difference, some people don't, and not I, but my friends did too...

Watch speedvision on like sunday mornings or any time it has infomercials, there's a huge thing on how it works.

You just stick it into that lil tube from your air filter box to whereever the hell it goes and it filters the air in a 'tornado' formation, helping the fuel / air ratio, obviously making better MPH and HP... well... to better explain it, here is the link to their explanation: How it works. (http://www.tornadoair.com/what_is_it_.htm)

I was skeptical as I said too, I didn't think we even had enough room in the car for the thing to fit, it's a tiny stainless steel thing, for 70 bucks, prolly costs them 1 to make, it's really durable though.

i don't believe that this works
lots of things can make your exhaust louder
i think this has been discussed on the forums before
do a search for it

Billy mays was advertising this thing...right? I gotta check it out. I was with phantom...I wouldn't think that the little metal thing would spn fast enough...but i understand now...where did you get it?

Does it go off when a tornado is 50 miles away from the car or something? ;)

I am kidding of course!

MyAuto.TV (http://www.myauto.tv) comes to mind as the best place , but any of those other sites would sell it, or their main site, look on google, i don't remember off hand, search for "tornado air intake system".

Also, JCWhitney (http://www.jcwhitney.com) has it, pretty much any car modding place.
