Is it possible to completely remove PATS from a Ford without attemping to bypass it?

Yes, To bypass the PATS during remote start, you need DEI part # 555F or 555S, depending on the year. And you need two keys to the car to program the unit.

If you just can't get the module, and you totally don't care about security, there's another way. Pull the little chip out of the head of the ignition key, take the shroud off the steering column, and glue the chip in place right next to the ignition switch.

But I would still get the module and do it the right way.

I'm using the 555S on my 01 ATX... it was the one that my local Circuit City picked out for me, so I think it's ok :tongue:

Hahahaha, gluing the transponder to the steering column.. that's funny stuff, but good. ;)
