MEET: Directions and Other Stuff!

Pablo is injured so I'm posting for him :( But don't worry, he'll live! So the big question is, who is bringing what to the meet on Sunday? Are we still up for the whole hero sandwich idea? I guess we'll need volunteers for soda, chips and beer also ;) Feel free to bring tools and mods! If it comes down to it, we can always decide by tomorrow, place an order for a hero Friday night and pick it up at a place near Chris' house. Suggestions?

Also, directions to the Outback in Port Jeff are as follows (if I am wrong, please correct me or if you know the mileage or number of lights in between each street, please let me know):

Take the L.I.E. to Exit 62 north. That is Nicolls road. Follow that to Route 347. Turn right onto Route 347. The Outback is on your left side (if you pass Old Town Road at the 7-11, you've gone too far).

We will meet in the parking lot at 12 noon. Please call either Pablo or I (PM us for cell numbers) if you will be late, so we know to wait for you before we caravan to Chris' house! See you Sunday!

Actually you will have to go to the Old town road light. Instead of making the left, make a U-turn. The Outback will be your first shopping center on the right. There will be signs that say Old town road XXXfeet. You will see the Outback on your left, and the next light is Old town. Also in that shopping center is Kohls department store, in case you dont see the Outback sign. If there are any problems, or you need further directions feel free to pm me.

One thing I think everyone should bring is some warm clothes!!! Looks like its gonna be a high of 30* on Sunday. The garage is heated, but only one car will be able to fit at a time. Oh well, looks like we will have lotsa beer to keep us warm

Just wanted to clear things up for all those who want to know about my injury. I cut 3 of my fingers with a rusty box cutter. The complication is that I cut thru my nails. I am on antibiotics to kill any possible infections, and have some ointment to help clean and dry up the cuts. What sucks is that for the next 2-3 months until my nails outgrow the cuts, any hard pressure on my fingertips is gonna hurt like a MOFO. Also, realize that these pics are after the more than 3 1/2 days after it happened, and most of the swelling has diminished to nothing, and the cut looks much better than before. OK- we now return to your regular scheduled program.

daaaaaamn Pablo I didnt even know anything happened. Sorry to hear (see) you fugged up your fingers. This might not be a great solution for helping with everyones mods, but since you know what your doing but dont have healthy hands and I dont know what Im doing but have healthy hands, you can instruct me what to do and I'll help with the mods (since I have none of my own to do). I dunno, just trying to help a little.

I've got my digital camera and my laptop too.

And yeah, the cut was mad deep. It is like 4 days later so the swelling and infection are like gone, and the cut is finally closing and starting to heal. Timing sucked cuz I had my snowboarding trip planned for this Wed-Friday. I now will be going on Mon-wednesday instead.

Also if anyone is interested, I've got a Weapon R intake and Cold Air Box that I am looking to sell. I will bring it to the meet and whoever wants it, they can have it put on that day. This was the set-up that James had on his ProjectCougar for 4 months before going TURBO. I bought it from him but decided to get another intake instead. This set-up costs $299 plus shipping on his website, but I will sell it for 160. If anyone wants it, PM me. Thanks

Ohh, I can bring my new camera too! Oh, can anyone do audio stuff? I got my new 6 Disc In-Dash changer and I want to replace the trunk changer that I have now. I need to splice the harness and such and I have no clue! Also, Chris do you have radio removal (burglar's) tools or should I steal the ones my Dad has? Or should I take it to The Wiz?

I also have my '01 gauges (that Carlos promised to do if I feed him Coronas all day) and my Ichibahn pedals and E-brake handle to install...any volunteers? :biggrin: I'm such a helpless female, it's disgusting.

And we need another meet in the Spring to show off my kit and my new wheels! I'm so excited to see all you guys this weekend!

we won't be in the cougar though :( it has a leak in the gas tank due to needing a new ring of some sort that had to be ordered and wasn't there by today for the mechanic to fix it :( Hope you all don't mind us coming to the meet in a suv. We wanted to come up to meet with you all at least one time before we move :)
