my on again, off again job assignment in Austin is on again... so I've been told :confused:

I will probably be in Austin first week of February. I might go visit some relatives in Houston too during my time in TX. So any of you old timers wanna meet up and talk about the glory days of old NECO?

I will be in Austin from 2/2 to 2/7.

I arrive on sunday at 2PM so if some of you want to meet up that day it is cool with me. Otherwise we can meet up sometime during the week at night... I could probably use a tour of Austin. I won't have my Cougar unless Hertz still rents them...

I'm staying at the Embassy Suites at the Arboretum... I dont know where that is but supposedly it is close to the freeway. I have no concrete plans to visit Houston yet but if my job finishes early I might drive down to H town one night and stay over at my uncle's place.

BTW, how long does it take to drive from Austin to Houston? and also Austin to State College or Houston to State College (I want to visit my cousin at A&M)?

Doh, you're missing our meet by 1 day. Austin - Houston is around 3 hours. Austin - College Station is around 90 minutes. College Station - Houston is around 60-90 minutes.

FYI your hotel is in the arboretum, near intersection of highways 183 (runs east to west there, even though signs say north and south), Mopac/Loop 1 (north/south), and Capital of Texas Hwy/360 (kind of parallel to mopac, goes north and south through far west Austin, pretty drive). i don't know what I've got going that weekend.
