anyone thinking of visiting Washington first?

Me and my fiancee are planning to use Cougarfest this year as an excuse to visit the captial of the US. Thats right, Washington,DC. We are probably going to drive to DC on Wednesday and spend Thursday before Cougarfest going to around to the sites... I think a few other people from MC-NECO are also thinking about coming along.

Not trying to get anything official going but is anyone up for getting together in DC on that Wednesday/Thursday July 16/17th? Doesn't matter whether your local or an out-of-towner like us...it will be fun to tour DC...

This is DC...it was a swamp. The washington memorial sinks 6 inches every year because of it. The Smithsonian is really the only castle in America. The Capital has to many stairs to count or climb. Its a long way from the capital to the lincoln memorial, but you do pass this really cool pool :) There are lots of streets in DC, most of them suck, and watch out for those manhole covers. Georgetown is fun......especially the sex shops and Johnny Rocket. The Potomac was a mob dumping ground.

well we've almost finalized ours plans for that week before cougarfest...

nights of July 13th - 14th in New York, mid-town manhattan
nights of July 15th - 16th in washington, dc...right downtown
nights of July 17th - 19th in Virginia beach

it's going to be a wild trip!!! :) but we've got hotels laid out in NY and DC for less a night that the cougarfest ones so we're going for the whole tour...

so who can make the same dates in either of the first two locations... to get together and see some places...
