How many of you have had dyno tests done?
How much do they cost?
I'm guessing that there will be a difference between an MTX a ATX, but maybe those of you who have had one can better inform me.
I've seen the results from the CTA site, and it doesn't indicate which tranny the cars had, or which brand/octane level of gas they were using.

We typically use Dyno Power Services in Scarborough. They now have wide band O2 and can read air fuel ratio. Club pricing was(is) $50.00 for 3 runs. I understand that they also have a $75.00/hr rate too. Almost of the graphs on the web site are manual transmissions. As far as octane and brand of gas, it varies according to what the customer used at the time. Most, if not all of my test were with Sunoco 94 octane fuel. It was my choice to keep consistency between sessions, rather than switching from lower to higher octanes, etc, etc.

Thanks.
In the pricing, do you mean that it is $50 + the hour rate? = $125?
I'm kinda curious to see what my stock ATX pulls at before I change anything, but price might be a factor.

Either $50.00 flat for 3 runs, or $75.00 per hour. If you are just going to do baseline runs, I would recommend doing the 3 runs for $50.00. You should net some 110 to 130hp (guesstimate) at the front wheels with a stock ATX depending on driveline losses for the ATX.
If you're going, let me know a date and time, and i'll come along. ;)
I'm curious to see what my ATX puts down with my mods (KKM Intake, "Optimized" SVT TB, CTA Intake Pipe, SVT UIM, CTA Exhaust, FMS 9mm Wires, Bosch Platinum +4's, SuperChip). :)

That price seems within reach.
Is this who they are? Dyno Power Services 325 Nantucket Boulevard Scarborough ON (416)752-3966

That would be neat. I would be interested in seeing what the difference is also.
If I'm going soon, I'm going to have to start putting the good stuff in the tank, or then again, maybe I'll stay with the lo-grade to get realistic day-to-day figures.

That would be them. Jeff's the owner. He is a good guy. Usually it is best to give him a call ahead of time to book an appointment.

Sorry for the delayed post, I caught the damn Norwalk runs 'til ya can't run no more virus, and I was out of commission for a bit.
So back to the dyno tests. I called and spoke with Joe, said that the price is still $50 + taxes for 3 runs on hp and torque. For an extra $30 he'll do air/fuel ratios. The test takes around 30 mins. He said that if we get 10 cars to come, he'd drop the price by $5.
The hours for these tests are M-F 6pm to 12am, and Saturday from 2pm until the last car's done. Bookings should be made at least one day in advance.
So I'm throwing this out to see who all wants to go, and when.
So far it's me and Mike.

I kinda want to go too..... But I can't go any weekend this month and I don't see how Mike could make it this month either.
When did you plan on going?

This month isn't very good for me either.
I guess that for now, we could sort out what is better for most who want to attend, will it be during the week, or on Saturday.
