I have a 2000 ATX with about 28500 miles. Over the last several months, I have noticed a very slight vibration and shimmy in the steering wheel. It happens at all speeds and all kinds of pavements, but is most noticeable at speeds like 20-30 mph and when I have a light hold on the steering wheel. I would also note that if I center my steering wheel, it will pull to the right. It seems to be in the left (US driver's side). So could my problem be one of the following:
1. Need alignment (4 wheel of course) although don't see any excessive wear to one side of the tire
2. Out of balance wheel(s)
3. Bent wheel (maybe the NJ *#@$ potholes finally got me)
4. Bad tire (don't see any external damage but maybe internal damage from those NJ *#@$ potholes)
5. Bad wheel bearing (no noise however)
6. Bad suspension part(s)
7. Bad brake caliper/rotor (brakes work fine)
8. Bad CV or drive shaft
9. Transmission problem - or
10. I'm just being too sensitive about my car:confused:

Thanking you all in advance for your advice. My warranty goes out by the 19th as my car will 3 years old on that day. If anything is a warranty covered problem, want to get it fixed by then. I do plan to get an extended warranty before them as fear the classic fuel pump problems and plan to keep my car for another 3 years/ 30000 miles.

I would guess it can be any of 1, 2, 3 or 4....

Good luck,
Sunni :)

Have your tires rotated, balanced, and get an alignment. That should solve your problem.
