if i get the 4 inch antenna they have on performance tuning ? how bad will the reception be on my radio ?

i have the 4" on sean hyland motorsports..... and i get only stations located in the city i'm in. An example of this is that i'm 50kms from toronto and with my regular antenna i can get toronto stations.. with the little one i dont.
If you really care about reception i'd look into one of those windsheild antenna kits like they use in europe.

I have the one from blackdiamondracing.com (http://www.blackdiamondracing.com/itempage.cfm?id=27) and it works fine...
