Okay well here is the last thread I will be starting about this weekends adventures so here goes:
First off here is a relaxed itinerary:
Saturday:
9:00-9:30am meet at my house.
9:30-9:45am drive to ski area and park together
9:45-10:00am unload, get tickets, get rentals, etc.
10:30am hit the slopes! Also you can call my cell phone if you are going to be late or just wanna meet at the slopes.

Basically after that its just whatever we wanna do, I know that some people will wanna leave earlier and some might wanna stay longer, so at anytime anyone can go to my house and just hang out or do whatever they want. It will be open with my parents and food ready to accomidate you.
There is an area for us to picnic so I will be bringing items to make cold cut sandwiches and snacks, however you will need to buy any beer or stuff like that from the bar due to ski area rules. Also there is a resturant and cafeteria right there too.
Also if anyone would like we can drink in the parking lot as long as we dont get caught  before hitting the slopes.

We will be on the slope for however long we please and then try to join together for lunch, again the FRS radios might be a plus for this meet, but I think the area is small enough that we can find each other and meet back up for lunch, or just not worry about it.

We will surely be taking many drinking breaks which will take place A)at the cars, or B) at the bar upstairs where the youngins can get served .
Okay here are directions this is gonna be long:

From the North you need to Hit 71S and take it until you get to US30 and take it West exit 176, then get off the first exit marked Reed Rd. and turn left, you will follow that road until you get to a street on your left called Inwood Dr. I am the 3rd completed house on the left 539 Inwood Dr.

From the South you need to hit 71N and take it until you get to US30 get off exit 176 and take a left onto 30 West follow it until you get to the Reed Rd. exit take it and turn left and follow Reed Rd. until you come to Inwood Dr. the last road on your left, turn left and I am the 3rd completed house on the left. 539 Inwood Dr.

From the East you can take 30W all the way and then follow the directions above.

You know what I dont wanna have to deal with anymore directions lol, this sux! So my address is 539 Inwood Dr. Mansfield, OH 44903. Please just put that in
Mapquest (http://www.mapquest.com) and you'll be good to go! Hope that helps! And if there are any questions or anything let me know, if you would like to move the times, just let me know that too. I think this is a decently fair time for everyone to get here after getting rested up from the football game.

Ok- I think a very important point has been missed here- I dont remember if we ever mentioned it but there is a COVER charge for this event. Sorry, first time ever, but the Badass Crew (who is sponsoring this meet by the way;) ) is not made of money. Relax, not much. Just kindly place $5 each in the hands of either me, john, kris, or matt and its all good ($5 total per person, not $5 for each of the badass crew). Now we wont be counting heads or looking for you, but please help us out here. Kegs are not cheap and when you see all the food and stuff you will understand. We try to do this kinda stuff as cheaply as possible but alas, there will be plenty for all. That said, you are still free to bring anything you want- dessert, personal beverage preferences, etc. John's mother is putting a lot of effort into this as well so a lil butt kissin to her might be nice too:kiss:

Thanks for the response to this- We hope to see all of you there. Drive safe, enjoy, and WHoooooooHooooo!

Sincerely, Tha Badass Crew

Plus John Slade said something about you were getting the tap? Is this true or not cause if notwe need to do something about that soon. Anyone have a pump tap?

I am bringing Lora with me, but shes going to be boarding with all of us. Sorry

Madcat
01-01-2003, 11:23 PM
Here is a list of NECO people and my friends etc, who might show and might not, also I will list them in 2 list people taking part in boarding/skiing, and those not that I know of.
Taking part:
Myself, Slade, Kris, Brian and Lora, Janelle and 2 friends, Mike, Tony, Sare and 2 friends, Ian, Chris, Jeff and friend, Alysha, then there is possibly Joe, Joes brother(forget his name sorry), Nick, Andy, and maybe like 3 friends from school and lastly my parents might show up.

Then not necessarlly planning on taking part in skiing or boarding, Mikes wife, Mark, Angie??(hope so), 2 friends from the lakes, and the 3 friends from school or more that might or might not ski. Also we will be making many pit stops in and out to warm up etc. so your wife and everyone else will surely not be alone very long if at all, also I do not need to ski at all and am more then willing to stay inside and keep people company as I have skiied alot already and will ski more, and I love to talk to people, so thats all good too.

Also if anyone would rather just chill at my house, my parents are gonna be there or else they can come and hang out in the lodge as well and keep people company. I know that doesnt sound to kool to alot of people, but my parents are pretty kool people to hang out with, dad is hilarious and a good skiier, and mom well shes kinda whack in the head, 1 to many beatings from me I think, jk! but shes really sweet too. So my house will be open if anyone would like to stay there or leave early.

Hope that helps!!

Is this taking place this coming saturday on the 4th???? If so, I'm sorry to say that I will not be able to make the skiing part of it. We (the Army) are having a function on saturday and it is mandatory that I be there. I will however be able to make it to John's later to party with ya'lls. For those that know me and my coug, she's in the shop once again, found out why she was handlin funny. Rear control arm was bent (due to the bodyshop I believe:evil: ). She should be back on the road tommorrow.

Hey I bet ya they did that when they jacked it up. I had it happen twice to my Coug. While I was standing there both times. I would just ask the guy if that was supposed to be betn and they were like "uh well was it bent before?" My reply, "uh no..."

Good to see Matt is still alive though since he never checks his voicemail on his phone :banhim:

Well Ive got the tap so we are all good to go. I'll be in Mansfield around 9:30 at John's place. John reports (like 20 minutes ago) that the slopes are totally badass so it looks to be a good time.

Madcat
01-03-2003, 06:26 PM
Wow, just got in from the slopes, making massive snow again. Second day in a row all the blowers have been on the main hills. All I can say about the jump is OMG, someone is going to die. I m not totally sure what they did last yr. but this yr the jump is at the bottom of the speed hill and is going to be huge. They pushed all the snow over lastnight and right now its just a drop off, I was hittin it and getting air even tho there was no jump yet formed! The good news is that you can see the jump from the balcony so uh beer+jumping=good times, watching people wreck, or Jeff pulling off some mean 3's etc. But this thing is huge, I dunno what they are thinking either its right next to the finishing race shack where they put the timers so uh :stupid: Look for someone to hit it eventually.
But heres the details, the competitions are in the afternoon no divisions that I know of, just one big group, besides skiiers and boarders being seperate I believe, and there is also the Rail slide comp. too. You can sign up for either until like 1:30 so that gives Jeff some time to look at things and see how hes feeling. Then there is practice for an hour or somtin like that, and then its go time.... So whatever is kool with me, I wouldnt ever do it, but I aint Jeff
Anyways, looking forward to tomorrow, snow should be awesome!

Special thanks to Mrs. Mambourg- the food was insane. Hope everyone had a good trip home. Thanks again Lora;)

Note to club: NO more meets on or immediately after a major Ohio sporting event! Too many of us were wiped out after Friday night to really ski and board too well. Tough loss for the Browns- oh well, I'm over that already though cuz OSU has the national championship:banana:

Yeah so all in all it was a good time but definitely never again after any kind of major event. I was way too whipped to even think about trying to drink Saturday and we all became bearish when it got late and everyone was loud. Oh well. Anyone up for hunting down the officials in the Browns game and asking them how much they got paid to call those penalties on Pitts last drive? Never before have I thought major sporting events were rigged until yesterday's game. They called penalties I have never heard of and I have been watching football since I knew pooping my pants was wrong.

Oh well gonna enjoy my BK now.

Hey everyone Bob and I had a good time and Snow trails park looked awesome, to bad I couldn't have hit it more. Glad to see Tony hit the rail and hey Brian did you ever try it? Sorry I couldn't hang out that night but maybe next time. Whenever anyone is feeling like hitting the snow again soon you know who to call now because I'll be up for it any time!
