In the king of all bonehead moves yesterday, I managed to drive over a curb. Loud thump, didn't notice anything immediately wrong. After a couple miles, started smelling burning, immediately thought it was oil dripping onto the hot exhaust, which I confirmed as soon as I stopped. Managed to make it home. It was late last night, by the time I got up this morning, its pretty well bone dry. As my car is lowered, I wasn't able to get under to see where the leak is coming from yet. A friend who was with me thinks I might have cracked the oil pan. I searched and found a thread that says how Ford says to do it, but couldn't find anyone who actually has done it. He thinks it'll be $600 to get a shop to do it. Any ideas? help?
FYI, 2000 ATX V-6

Go and check out General Info... there is someone else with the same problem that I posted the instructions for removal/installation, prices, time, etc.

uh, everything you need to repair the oil pan is in that thread!

order a new style one (2003 model) from BAT, they are better built that stock

Yup...

All you need to do is get the new oilpan and gasket, then follow the directions in the other thread. I took those directly (copy and paste) from the Ford CD, so you can be assured that they are correct.

PM me if you need any of the images that the CD provides, but it's a very straightforward install, so you shouldn't really need 'em.
