Nice but for the price why not just by and ST200 brace... Well i guess if you want the trunk space i could see why.....

Now wouldn't something like that still let the car twist a bit? During a turn the car would flex ever so slightly, maybe causing the metal to bend around the bolts in the bar.
I have the ST200 setup (not installed) and with the bars crossing it tightens up the support better I would think.

the thought with the ST200 is that it really is overkill when it comes to a rear strut brace... (one of my friends once said when i showed him mine, "that's not a RSB, tha's a f'ing mini roll cage for your trunk...") anyway, most people feel that just the top bar would be more than enough for most people. plus with the mirko coming in diff. colors and such i can see why people like those. that and they would still have more use of their trunk.. BUT, the ST200 is awesome for the price and would be better, unless you're constantly transporting things in your trunk which take up a lot of space...
oh, and people might want to go mirko cuz it's much easier to install.... the bottom plates on the st200 are a b!tch to install!

True, the thing is way over-engineered. But as one member here found out when he got into a major accident. The way the thing intersects & bolts in kept his car from being torn in half when he was sideswiped by a garbage truck. So it does definitly increase the rigidity of the car, the single bar versions I could see bending under heavy stress for some reason.
Plus you could always paint the ST200 to whatever you want. Not to bash the Mirko bar, just other options for ya.

It's a nice bar. Just about the only other one I would get besides the ST200. Of course you know this bar is a copy of the top bar from the ST200. Very nice, what color did you get?

i agree the ST200 RSB is a big over kill besides look at the 350z its got one solid bar in the back

No such thing as an overkill. The thing is so over engineered it's like having a mini roll cage in the back. Better than any rstb currently out. And for the original $99, forget it...even now IIRC BAT has them for $150 if any left? Cant beat that. Easily a $200-$300 bar.
It really depends on your needs or what you want. Many people still want to fully use the hatchback space, or just want a little better stabilization in the rear, or install a nice system in the rear...all these reasons would make the ST200 rstb kinda get in your way or seem like an overkill. But if you're performance inclined, both in terms of power, suspension, brakes, etc. then this is it.
Just because the 350Z has a single bar in the back doesnt mean anything. Simply means it handles (or should) better than other cars from factory.
