I visited my local Powerflow exhaust dealer in Newcastle today but he has concerns about the sound of the exhaust. The usual thing to do with the cougars is to have one silencer with a single pipe coming out of it then splitting into 2 to go to each side of the car. He thinks it might sound a bit raspy due to the length of the pipes going to the tips. He thinks it may be necessary to put a small cylindrical silencer behind each tip.

What are your views guys, what is the exact set-up of your exhausts?

If I don't require these extra silencers he reckons it will cost approx £400 for the exhaust.

I'm looking to get quad 3 inch tips, just like the attached photo.

Thanks!:)

Hi, I have had a Powerflow exhaust fitted to my cat, I told him to remove the two rear box's and keep the resonater box. He made up a Y pipe and fitted two carbon fib/SS Tips.
The sound is fantastic and the looks is great.
It is not "raspy" but has a deep growl, on tick over it is not to loud but take it over 3000 RPM and you are left with a big grin on your face.
I have not had my radio on since I had this done.
The cost was £280 which is hard to beat.

This was done by my Powerflow exhaust dealer. 65-71 Queen Street,
Ballymena.

Get your local Powerflow man to give him a ring!

Hope this helps.

I agree with Marcus, i have a Yo-Dude exhaust with a flowmaster silencer, it sits just after the cat where a single pipe comes out and is then split into the two exits, it sounds the dogs twitchers
