DJ lost a wheel.

Last night DJ came to lincoln and on his way home he was rounding a corner and his new cougar he has had for 2 days lost the right front wheel dropping the car and busting the hell out of it. The tow guy said ti looks like the lugs where tighted to tight and the busted off.

Sounds like the frame could be bent as trunk won't close right and door on the pass side is messed up. He took pics and will post them later. SO sorry DJ this sucks!

hello everyone well it turns out that my lugnuts wear on about 4 times too tight and thats why they all snaped off, then to top it off the clunking noize I have is not the mufler its the drive trans..... and they said we will get that fixed for ya.. and they didnt, aaannndddd there are 2 other problems with the car that i asked about and tehy said everything is fine. Now with 800 bucks to get the fender fixed and about 800 bucks to get the knocking fixed.. i say Fu3K the car. I was Lied to about geting this stuff fixed and it wasent. And im having a hard time geting the Tire Company to pay for the dammage there service did just 5-6 days before i bought the car.. Im im way over my head. Tomarow I am trying to take the car back.. its worthless!!!!!!!

well it looks like im keeping the car.. the tire shop wear it was worked at gave me 1200 bucks to get it all fixed.. Prez is comming down for new Years and we will probley get totaly drunk and buy all the stuff for my car tonight WOOOT!!!!

well im not out of the woods yet.. i now have to take my car back to Auto World(wear i bought the car)and tell them they can now fix the thumping sound my car makes... before i bought the car tehy said they would fix that... saying too me thats its just the muffler and we can fix that noize for ya.. but when i bought the car thay didnt fix it. and i understand they would have only had 2 days to get it into a shop, but they still said hay man we have a verbal agrement to fix it for ya and we still will,,, then the wheel snped off , but we are geting that fixed YIPPPPY! and when they were fixing my wheel so it would drive i asked them . what is making that thumping sound.. they said its the Trans axil and a sylnoide sompthin or other.... and its not the muffler.. and its going to cost around 1000 bucks....SOoo Auto World is going to find this out when i take the thumping sound papers to them tomarow morning and they are going to be pisssed~!!!! but they said time anfte time "Well fix that thumping sound " BooooYeAAAaa!!!

nope i had to order Lugs and they come in on tuesday.. then after thats done I can drive it again and im going straght to the FORD delership and they are going to wright down whats with the thumping sound. and if it cost more than 20 bucks( which it will) I have to take the car back to Auto World and they will have there guys fix it. Then after thats done I have to take it back to the FORD delership to make sure it was done right.,,,, and after all of that , which will probley take a week or so, I can order fenders and other stuff and get my body fixed up with the money that the TIRE place gave me for puting the Lugs on too tight in the first place....

I dont want to order fenders and body kits and all that stuff intell i know the thumping is geting fixed

you know what?? I would take the car back and ask for your money back. They are in breach of contract for not fixing the thump. basically they lied. I believe you have the option to take it back. also didn't the lugs break a few days after you bought the car?? I think there is a leagl warranty regardless of if they offered one or not. it's like 3 days or something. I take it they contracted the tire place to change tires??

i have a good lawyer, and your right I have a contract to fix the thumping no matter what it is.. i said i woulded buy the car unless it was fixed. the Car Lot said it was only a lose muffler... but it only made the thumping sound when it changed gears, but whatever it was they would fix it for me... and that hasent happend yet. That gets looked at on Tuesday and i cant wait!!!!!! and I got waaaaay more than enought money to get the fender fixed so I want to keep the car, but I wont if they go back on there word. And i only drove the car for 2 days before the wheel snaped off.. Last night Prez came over and we looked at 2 99 cougers one that caught my eye from the street was for 9,900 it had 50,000 miles it was dark silver, no spoiler and no moon roof and about 1000 small burn marks on the seets and dash, and 14" dull rims,, I told Prez this car will be here for a LONG time that had to have been the worst couger i have ever seen, good luck to whoever buys it.. Then Prez let me drive his car back to my house. and after that drive the sec i get mine back im geting the AEM intake that was soooo sweet !

ohh and one more thing. What dose you all think about a OEM carbon fiber hood on a black couger...??? think that would be cool.. Prez said "DO IT!!" and go figure lol, but im look for more input, and if i go with one is there anyware else to buy stuff like this than Custom cougers . com ?? not sayin its a bad site just wanted too see what else is out there..

are you going to paint it?? i guess I would have to see it first... I would think it would look funky. Custom Cougers is good as far as customer service but usually isn't the cheapest. it's a trad off I guess. what's more important?? price or service?
