Hey I haven't really been paying attention to mobile video, but lately I've been wanting to put some kind of monitor in my car. I want it to be a ceiling mounted one that will mainly be used to play console games (PS2). I just have a couple of questions. When they say for example, 7" screen, is that measured diagonally like a TV, or 7" all around??? Also, what do I need to play PS2 games regarding the video and audio inputs/outputs?? (single vs. dual video inputs?) Maybe someone can give me some good brand names or model numbers..thanks a bunch

You're talking 7" diagonal, same as CRT screens. You just need the standard RCA jack on the screen, as the sound will be routed to your head unit (using a modulator/input/etc). I've got a couple Power Authority screens, so I would definitely recommend those.

get a Audio/Video Switch that allows multiple inputs and plug your PS2 into it, and whatever else you have, i have a DVD Player, and an XBOX. then plug the tv screens into the output portion of it. run the audio through the switch like i did to your audio system, or go directly from the head unit into the audio, my setup allows any audio from any of the three sources to be channeled to any of the three screens in my car. so audio from dvd to one screen, while video to another, and XBOX to another and radio to the third, or any combination thereof.
heres a partial list of my equipment (im doing this from memory and i have too much stuff without my diagrams)
Eclipse 7002 Headunit with LCD Screen
(2) SAVV 5.8" LCD Screens
SAVV Audio/Video Switch (advantage of using SAVV for the video screens and the switch is that the remote will work for it all, so the switch is remote controlled)
Panasonic DVD Player
Cable Television Receiver input
Microsoft XBOX Video Game System
MTX AMP
(2) MTX Sub's
250 Watt AC Inverter
so i have a total of three AV inputs and 3 TV screens in the car.

Hmm....maybe a laptop with xp will give better hp and give me whoooppee...anyways, just last night I ripped apart a sony Ps2 screen and wired it inta a Landcruiser visor..and so far thats all, looks good and already has all the hardware to play dvd's and games with sound. Next trick is to plug it all into my friends 2000watt in car theater system:evil: Only ****ty part is the little 5" screen...not even good enough for porn-:slap:

Reason for not having the bigger screens is the lack of cash after spending all his money on the suv itself, with rims and exaust then reline with white leather, then its onto the sounds and signals. Maybe next paycheck or two.
