View Full Version : How-to reset the computer to show digital speedo???

OK, I remember someone showed me how to reset the computer and show a digital tach and digital speedo on the left lcd panel...but I forgot how. I tried holding the reset and units buttons and it works, but when I let go of them, it goes back to normal. What am I not doing right? Thanks.

Hold down the units and reset buttons while you start the car and release them after its started...if i remember correctly you have to release the reset button first. You can hit the reset button anytime and it will return to normal.

Yes, that is what I was not doing (letting go of reset first). Thanks for the info.

1. hold them both down at the same time
2. turn key to on position (without starting car)
3. when the dials start going up turn on car (while still holding buttons)
4. after car is started and the r13 (or whatever that display is) is displayed, let go simutaniously
might need to try it a few times to get the timing down. It took me about 5 minutes to get it, but I can do it everytime now

you change it back by turning off the car and turning it back on normally.
You can't get the other info when your in that mode

Actually, you don't have to turn the car off to get back to the regular info...you just have to press the reset button and it goes back to normal. But you cannot view both modes all at once, it is either one or the other. I am not sure if timing has anything to do with it, I think you just have to let go of the reset button first.
lol letting go of reset first is the trick that does it
