Anyone know how much it costs to get a car repainted completely...... I just got a good bit of stuff placed on my car and well the paint job is not the greatest. The reds match up but with certain lighting it is noticable. Would this be because of the different types of materials... Also, does anyone know of any good shops with decent pricing.

Be ready to spend a pretty penny to repaint the car completely. I am talking about 2 grand or more from a reputable shop with factory or better finishes. A color change runs around 4 grand or more for an excellent quality job.

Also the time and labor for color change, including pulling the engine and taking everything apart. The cheapest way to go about adding fiberglass or urethane products without having the whole car painted is for a blending.... Where they take off paint from like the door, hood, etc. then replace it when they paint the bumpers or the fenders..... Its like having part of your car painted but not the whole thing. The blending makes the paints look more similar even though they are truly not a perfect match. As RacerX stated painted the whole car is extremely expensive, heck for just my fenders and blending it was going to be 450-500 and that was merely blending on the doors and hood, nothing else! Good Luck and Merry Christmas

Dude seriously just buy like 10 cans of rustoleum and do it yourself!
But yeah it is hella expensive to paint a car. Just make sure you don't go someplace cheap cause then you will regret it.

XR2002 I saw what you said it cost you for the painting and
that's way expensive. To bad you aren't closer cause I just
got my front back and the custom welded and installed my fog lights
and it was fairly cheap...............If I would have had to pay for it
hehe  creating the site for his shop and we're callin it even for
the body work.
Good luck to ya

Yeah it cost me a good bit is why I was kind of dissapointed. I had the fenders, front, back bumpers, and the entire driver side repainted( Because of a damn turkey flying into my door) and put on. I am debating on takign it back to him and talking him into repainting the entire car for cost.

Dude for real, if you just had it done, and it isnt up to par with what you think it should be, I would surely go back and talk to the shop. Especially if insurance covered any of it, cuz I would think there would be a way to stop payment from them to the body shop if you arent satisfied. Best of luck with it, and deffinently go talk to the manager.
