Mercedes E320

I'm sorry guys, but I'm not liking my car very much at this moment. some soccer mom lady walked past me in her Mercedes E320 while I was winding out my engine at WOT. sure, it was uphill, and I had a bunch of groceries in the trunk, but I don't think I should've been killed that badly :banghead:

not only that, but this past weekend, I got to drive my friend's Jetta 1.8T wagon, and even with an ATX and 4 people in the car, it still felt faster than the Cougar. :ugh:

An E320 should run a low-15 second quarter mile... It should've beat you, but not by much.

You've gotta get that thing checked out man!

not to be an ass and all but these cars are very slow compared many other cars on the road. Then again for under $20k its a great buy. personally I love the style and interior of the cougar, but as performance... it sucks. Handling is great tho. Now remember this is my Honest Opinion. so dont flame me.

I did make it better, though, by beating a V6 Tiburon later that night. judging by the launch, it was probably an ATX, but I'll still take that win

Personally(note the word for future flamewars) I think the Cougar isn't that slow. Not the fastest but far away from the slowest. I go to the track and see ricers and v6's and v4's run 15-19 second quarters. the occasional one runs a mid-low 14 or even a 13 and the very occasional one runs a 11(my buds civic..heheh). It's funny to cause alot of the "performance cars" out there I eat up on a daily basis. half the time I don't hafta try as hard as I do. granted the Cougar is more a luxury than a performance car it ain't slow. Its weight ain't exactly light either. I personally think a Cougar is a reputable car to race. No i'm not gloating but a 14.9 with very very minor mods is a great run. More mods= better time. Sh!t with the right type of motor,drivetrain and suspension work a cougar copuld taste 11's-12's. remember though if they made more Cougars how many performance parts do you think would be out there? How many turbo setups, superchargers etc. etc. etc.

be just like any other car out there. a ton of them with a ton of dofferent mods. I personally love my cougar cause so many people say "haha a Cougar. Let's go smoke em."

Then they get smoked. it's great.

If it was the E320 4matic sedan you should have beaten her. It's only a 16.4 1/4 car. Has a V6 pushing 221hp, however car weighs nearly 2 tons. Freaking tank

However the baseline E320 is pretty quick, 15.5 1/4 and 7.2 0 - 60 :)
