1. If we both had different Ecu's would my car still start up? (It started)
2. If something goes wrong can I just take my Superchip out and it would be like it wasnt there?
3. How could the Dealer know I had one in?
Thanks a BuncH!!!

your computer codes may differ and that could cause a problem.

it should not be a problem. But IMHO those chips are a waste of $$.

its really on those type of chips as a whole. For I/E there really is no need for a chip and from my understanding they do very little to help the car. The only time I would recomend getting a chip is if you are doing some serious work on the car.

after the holidays i am planning on putting my SVt UIM and TB on. i already have intake and exhaust. would that be enough mods for a chip to be worth it?

If I were you I would wait till you are going to put headers on (if thats your plan) this way no need to re-burn your chip.

The chips are also much better for ATX then MTX in their stock program form. By raising shift points for the ATX and advancing timing, you definitely get an increase in performance. I have a diablo chip now and think its worth it, but like always everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Luckily I live somewhat close to Diablo so one of these days when I have money I'll get my chip custom tuned along with some dynos.
Edit: forgot, one more thing, you have to use premium gas.

Talk to the people at duratecperformance.com if you are talking about a diablo, I believe they'll charge anywhere from $50-100 maybe.

Yes u can remove it, reset your ecu and you are fine. Don't think the dealer will know unless you forget to remove it. Even though the car started I wouldn't assume everything is fine. I would research and find out to make sure you aren't going to run into problems because the ECU programs don't match.
