I would of searched for this, but I have no idea what this stuff is really called.
I was in Ziebarts getting one of my window tints fixed and seen something that sounded interesting and was wondering if anybody had tried it yet. They have some sort of coat they put on your paint that lasts for 7 years or something and then you never have have to wax it again.
Is this a good product? I was thinking this would help protect my graphics. Does anybody have opinions on this. This is all over protectant or something, not that bra stuff.
Thanks!

You should try and post this in "Car Care" section..

I was thinking about posting there, but thought here fit cause it was permanent. If the mods want to move it there tho, that would be cool.
well its not a cosmetic mod, its car care :)
and as far as i've heard, they suck.

the dealer tried to sell me that stuff when I picked up my car a few weeks ago. $600 for the paint stuff, undercoating and interior protecteant. I asked here and a few other forums. about 95% said to save my money and make sure I keep it waxed real good...
If you go to car care the resident expert and I have been having quite a dialog going. Apparently I'll be the guniea pig of the correct way to clean and protect your car and you all can see the progress.
BTW, probably the best way to protect graphics is to have the car re-clear coated with the graphic underneath. only bad side is it's permenant....

It's marketed by the same company as DiamondKote. I had that stupid crap put on my Cougar when I first bought it... causes the scratches that do break the surface to become impossible to buff out, requires you to buy colored waxes, because anything else 'marrs' the finish, and above all, costs you money in the long run, because the overall view of your car is going to look worse, due to not being able to perform normal waxing.
Wow... that was a long sentence :)

There's no such thing as permanent paint protection. If you want to protect the paint, get that 3M adhesive stuff that Morph from FL NECO uses/installs, that's good stuff and won't be stuck there permanently.
