I don't have city water, but well water.. I don't know what minerals are in well water, I think a little bit of Iron, will this hurt my Cougar? Also.. if it does, does anyone know if there are any powerwashers out there that filter out minerals?
Hey,
I live on an acreage and have well water as well. My dad owns a trucking company and for years we couldnt find the right way to wash the trucks. There would always be residue left on the trucks. The only thing that will work, is a Reverse Osmosis system. The system is pretty expensive though. It cost us $2000CDN for ours. However, when I wash my cougar with this, it leaves no residue, no water spots, nothing. (reverse osmosis is the same system bottled water is done by)
What kind of system to you have? The water shouldnt be bad, but you would have to shami AND probably polish your car quite a bit, especially with it being black. Otherwise the paint job will start to fade after awhile. (thats what we found out with our trucks at least)
As for pressure washers, I dont believe there is anything out there that will work.

a pressure washer that has a chemical intake (where you would put your soap) might work.. it should dilute the water enough..
I have well water and I never have a problem with residue..

I also have well water, but we also have a reverse osmosis system to go along with it. The one water outlet at the back of the garage is the only one that has it running to it. All the other ones are just normally filtered, i would never wash my car with that, it has a lot of iron and sulfur and **** in it.
