*Opinions and or design changes are strongly encourged for anyone wishing to*

Attached is a photo of my 28ft Enclosed Haulmark Trailer Preliminary Design by Aerogear. Aerogear will be using my trailer and vehicle next year to tour the east and mid west with their 2003 Spokesmodel and show off the Millennium Series Kit. When setting up Vendor Booths, The trailer will be used as a backdrop. During Transit from my office to the venue, the trailer will house the Yellow Project Cougar as well as items to set up the booth for the venue including products. During the travel time, the trailer will become a rolling billboard advertising the Cougar, CustomCougars.Com and Aerogear. Other Sponsors of the Yellow Project Cougar will be adding their names to the trailer in March of 2003 as well.

Please post suggestions and or photo renderings. We will be doing the trailer in Early January to prepare it for the show season which starts Jan 17th for me. If your design is chosen, you will be offered a very nice discount on any Aerogear Items as well as your name placed onto the trailer. The only requirements are:

Aerogear Logo
CustomCougars.Com written using the Banco Font
Atleast 3 images of the Yellow Project Cougar (No Other Vehicles)
The design must flow so that my truck that pulls the trailer can be painted from the bed forward to match the trailer. Photo of Truck (http://www.customcougars.com/NECO/newtruck)

I really like the black backround. It will really make the yellow stand out, and the advertisement will make drivers turn their heads! =)

Paint the truck black too! =) heehee.

You have already seen what I had to say -- but that was with only about 5 mins of thought put into it.... gimme some time...

Well if I had a better Aerogear logo (had to do a printscreen to swipe it from their site) and if I had Banco Font it would be just right, but you get the idea, just replace both with the correct image (Aerogear/font).

DAMNIT......I need Photoshop!!

what about a clear side/front pick blurring out toward the back into the aerogear logo......looks sweet on the indy trailers.

Also, what about a concept like the LowRider truck at NOPI....accept Custom Cougars...and your car.

SHARING
my Mom always told me to share with others.
I agree with cat88's design the flames are classic and always an attention getter

oh and my idea would be to use ProjectCougar's existing avatar as one of the cars on there... essentially give it the feel that it's moving....

ProjectCougar
12-19-2002, 01:37 PM
Thanks for all the people posting... Several people whom I know are very good with Graphics have sent me PM's requesting images to help them which is very cool... I saw the flames one and although it looks great, does nto go with my flow of my car... The color scheme of the car is yellow and black

Thanks

yeah. i think flames have been over done... and plus, the car is not a hot-rod

James - I like the first one that you posted up there actually... :)
just paint the truck black, and continue the yellow stripes onto it!

Here's a sketch I did for now. I'm working on the composite in Photoshop now for clarity.

This is mostly for show of graphics and color, text & logos can be added anywhere.

JScullin
12-19-2002, 04:38 PM
Forgot to add:

The bottom will fade from black to a diamond plate pattern and that will fade into a Dyno chart w/James numbers (projected :)). The dyno chart will be a faded black/yellow. A red or orange pinline will be on top of the swoop and on top of that another black pinline.

James car will appear to be on a lift as if your seeing inside the truck (photorealistic) and possibly a checkered flag or something else wavy in the background (goes w/the Cougs lines).

Along the upper left will be the Aerogear logo and some photos of the Coug and small logos of his sponsers maybe.

The back door will have the rear shot of the Coug as if the doors were open (will add a 1/2 raised door) and maybe some light effects inside.

JScullin is the man... I am liking the ideas... Sent you information in an e-mail about the dyno chart... There is soo many cars in the 330hp range that I want my new clutch and LSD installed before I start bragging about the cougars HP and Tq :)

JScullin
12-19-2002, 05:34 PM
Here's a quick composite of the 1st design.

In that empty area where the dyno is you could slap all the sponser stickers on your car. PLENTY of room.

 - jscullin - that is really sweet lookin'. nice work.

ProjectCougar
12-19-2002, 05:42 PM
JScullin... that is the best... Item looks great....

Only thing is you have the car in the trailer backwards... the car drives into the trailer... Is that going to be hard to redo?

ND4SPD
12-19-2002, 06:29 PM
wow... hah, james, wish the people who are going to paint that on "good luck!"

that much detail and airbrushing on that SIZE of a trailer is going to cost a fortune!

JScullin:bowdown:

Is the trailer going to be painted or vinyl wrapped??

JScullin
12-19-2002, 06:40 PM
How do you mean James? I just threw the trailer wheels on as a reference, but saying the car is entering from the right...

If the car on the lift is too far to the right, then yea I can move it forward. But it may not balance well design wise.

I'll have some other ideas later on.

jscullin - your trailer design is awesome. I am liking that one a lot.

JScullin=mac user=great graphic artist hehe

way to go mang that design is awesome

JScullin
12-19-2002, 08:31 PM
Here are a few more plus the rear design that would be used for all three (as the 3rd car view).

With design 3 I didn't add any logos because I wasn't sure on placement so I decided to just show off the design.

MileHighCougar

I really like the one with the dyno charts on it!! The others are awesome too. I also like the idea for the rear. Awesome job!!

JScullin, your work is just incredible! Great job. The problem is that I can't pick the one I like the best.

12-20-2002, 01:11 AM
wow, jscullin - if u dont already, u should get paid to do that stuff at a graphics place, ud make a fortune. but yea, stick with the dyno one. and that rear is awesome. i dont like the one with all the silver splashed over everything.

12-21-2002, 12:16 AM
Wow that's looking sweet !...I was just wondering tho how high of resolution would the image have to be to look good on something as large as a trailer?

AuburnCougar
12-21-2002, 03:56 AM
What are the dimensions of the trailer's outside? I want to make scaled images so that I can take advantage of the whole area.

Thanks for the comments. I'll probably make some simpler ones after xmas incase full color photo graphics would be too much.

Did James get to see the newer ones?

We in OH came up with the idea before that it would be so great to have a big rig and a trailer and paint it as Optimus Prime. Red cab with the whole dark grey trailer with big Autobots emblem on the side. That way we could haul our Cougars around and ride in style.

hey, this guy (GoDan69089) is pretty good too. i like the first one of his.

OJE
12-24-2002, 07:13 PM
i like the very first one that you did JSCULLIN with the dyno chart. But whatever ends up being used for the sides the idea you have for the rear is the best, that would be amazing to see that on the back of a trailer.

AuburnCougar
12-25-2002, 01:32 AM
Here are two more concepts that I came up with

hamill
12-25-2002, 05:04 PM
Those designs are amazing guys....I want a graphics program SOO BAD!!!

I like JSCULLIN's rear door idea because could you imagine a cop looking breily at the back of the trailer and running the IH8TKTS plate rather than the actual plate.......that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw that pic...haha

Ariadne
12-25-2002, 05:16 PM
...Man that beats the crap out of my color swaps lol.... i wish someone could teach me how do do more of the graphics/chopping..*whimpers* i really need the skills especially now...

BTW guys those are friggen awesome i'm sooo jealous :disgust:

I will try and throw something together tomorrow at work. Also, James, I will volunteer my services as an installer if you need the help. I dont know if you will try and do this install or have the company printing the wraps for you do it.

A nice underhood shot of the turbo faded into the dyno graph on the rear door would look pretty sweet. Great job BTW John & Dan!

AuburnCougar

Well here is the last one that I can think of right now, with out some feed back.

Zip
01-06-2003, 11:00 PM
Where are you getting these nice shots of his car?

Where can I get Banco?

AuburnCougar
01-07-2003, 02:11 AM
All the shots I got were off his website. As far as the font goes I don't have it, I just saved his CustomCougars.Com as an image and used that

Zip
01-07-2003, 10:23 PM
Only playing around a few minutes in photoshop, I came up with this, it seems to be a little bland and missing something though... just a quick 'sketch in photoshop' I also don't have Banco, that doesn't help, and the 2002 cougar v6 turbo thing is there i dunno why, i was going to put dyno numbers or something also.

LINK IS THE PICTURE, it's too big to upload and board doesn't support images with the [IMG] tag...

Comments, bad or good, whatever... :) thx.

Wow Zip... I like that image... I want to thank all those who actually submitted images. I contacted those whom I really was impressed with about possibility of getting the file in Vector.... Zip do you have the ability to Vectorize the image if I was able to provide you with the Banco Font?

Thanks

Zip
01-08-2003, 01:04 AM
Thanks!

Yeah, I could change the font easily and such, and if there's anything else you'd like changed on the image I could do any of that. As far as vectorizing, anything is possible (and if I can't get it, I'm sure there has to be someone who can do it / guide me through vectorizing.)

that one of zips is pretty cool. i personally love the pics of it with the black / cf hood on instead of the yellow.

dv6cougar
01-11-2003, 01:48 PM
here James... i came up with a prototype design myself here...

it incorporates zip's idea with the flag behind your car, but the rest is uch different...

and the banco font didn't work, so the font that is there now, is copied from your site or a picture of your car, to give you teh general idea.

also could you get me a picture of your guages? do you have a straight down shot of your engine? i'll look on your site for that as well... but i'm pretty sure there's nothing at the angles I need.

let me know what you think

any suggestions anyone?

MileHighCougar

very nice I like the idea of some shots of the interior!! Looks very good! You should also try putting diamond plate where the checker is!! Just an idea!!

it's just your picture with the cougar and the flag as a start... the customcougar picture that i have in the same place as you do is not yours... that's James' :)

EVERYTHING ELSE I DID....

in cluding doubling the image to give ita better affect...... ;)

and I gave you credit so it shouldn't be a problem
