I recently installed a yo-dude exhaust, I already had a Dynomax muffler to use so I told them not to charge me for one. Well I wanted to put it where the resenator was, but it is too wide. What size of Dynomax muffler do you use there? Or is there a modification that can be done to make it fit. The muffler is 9 3/4 inches wide. I think I need one that is like 8 inches wide. Can someone please give me some guidence. Thanx

My muffler's dimensions are:

Length:18 1/2 in.
Width:9 3/4 in.
Height:4 1/4 in.

So yours should fit just fine. I had a couple muffler shops try to say it wouldn't fit, but it does. I've done a how to for a custom exhaust and recomend that size muffler and almost everyone has a muffler guy try to tell them it wont fit, but it does and they find out they are wrong once they actually try to install it.

And you put it in the middle of the car right, where the resenator was? So it does fit huh? Do you just squeeze it in there or do you have to tilt it?

I don't know how people can fit that size muffler up in there. I had the exhaust guy in my area order me a dynomax muffler and it came it and it was way to wide so he had to order a 8" wide magnaflow muffler. I'm so glad he did, I LOVE the sound this thing gives off!

I used the same Dynomax Cat88 used, it fits fine, it doesn't rattle or rub. I know what you mean though, I was under the car and if I didn't know so many people are using it I wouldn't have thought it fit either. Several shops told me it wouldn't fit either.

Yeah, I got my local shop to put it in there. I have no idea why the other shop thought it wouldnt fit. There is still room on each side. ??? Oh well, its in there and I like it. Thanx for all your help.
