it's been done. it'll cost you a pretty penny and quite a few headaches, but yes, it has been done.

My '99 Cougar came with RWD!
I thought that they ALL did.
It's right there on the shifter...
Put it in "R" and mash the throttle!

(steering seems a little "twitchy" though)

Just a question and not to mock you or anything but isnt it easier to just ignore the "newbie" question instead of making a newbie who prob. doesnt know much about NECO feel stupid?

But what im guessing hes getting at is just search for whatever you wanna know on the search bar and something will most likely come up and your answer will be there.

the only one I can remember is the black one with the V8 engine in it. There are pics floating around somewhere.

You can take a Jag AWD and the drivetrain almost matches perfect to the Cougar, sorry I can't remember the model, but if you ask around, especially the contour guys, they will tell you. It would cost in the neighborhood of about 8 to 10k for the conversion.

Not that hard to do at all.

I converted my 03 Cougar over to RWD with half a roll of gaffers tape, 7 toothpicks, a used bong, a bucket, and 3 orgasms.

everyone on his topic says "just buy a rwd car, itd be cheaper..." well that depfeats the purpose of wanting to have a "custom" cougar, dont you think?

Hey, I didn't say buy a new car.

When I have the money and opportunity, I am going AWD. Same engine, just a whole new drivetrain. That is the way to go. That is a custom cougar for you.

haha and stangs car is already custom in my opinion.

I hear you on that one stang!!!! Me and my friend have been talking about that for awhile now, going over the possibility of a talon awd fitting into the coug. Now I just need to hit the powerball and its a done deal:bowdown:
