hey all!

i want to install 2 10" subs into my back seats. i need to cut holes in my seats to do it, but am not exactly sure how to, and/or if i need some sort of insulation or whatever.

if anyone has done this, or knows how...give a gurl a clue!

spank you!

You'll feel more bass, and hear less distortion if you put the subs in an enclosure inside the trunk, not facing forward. Unless you plan on spending mega bucks for an all SPL system.

so basically, i'm gettin the impression that i shouldn't do this...

well...i'm gettin rockford speakers soon..i have a 10" clarion sub, and a 2 channel clarion amp...right now..my muzic isn't as loud as i'd like...that could be cause i still have the factory speakers...my sub is floatin around in my trunk..and one of the reasons that i wanted to put it in the seat is to attach it...

if i were to put it in my seat backs...could i not have a box around it..and maybe plexiglass in the front??

what's and SPL system?...i see all this cool sheit in those car audio magz..and i'm like "i want that"..lol..even though some stuff is not possible for me..haha..

OK...now ripping up your backseat and putting subs in is possible, but not too reasonable, a simpler way to get an in your face setup is to build or have a enclosure built to fit in the area directly behind back seats when folded up, then when wanting to see the subs, just fold down seat backs. Your just wanting to get as much loudness out of your system and not really wanting a SQ system, which is all about sound quality, then your just looking for a pair of bigger subs and a powerful amp and being able to turn it up and blast the person a half mile a way- Even though its not all that and most people say its ghetto...well if you want it then go for it. I spend most of my time installing ghetto fabulous type systems which hit high db and to hell with sq, but I do quite a few clean systems as well, but only if the customer has the funding.....its pretty easy to get big bump without spending big bucks.

PM me if you have any questions...

well..the general impression that i have right now is that i should scrap the backseat idea...it's coo..i just thought it would look (and sound) damn tight!

Instead of cutting a hole in your back seats to fit subs in, you can just pull out the back seats all together and fit a box or two back there.. unless you want to still fit 4 people in, and have them sit on your subs..

Wow.. that would be awesome. Have two chicks sit in the back seat, then crank up some Barry White, and have them cream all over themselves.. wait.. then they'd cream all over the subs..
