keyless entry random lock problem

Has anyone seen a problem with the Cougar locking itself at random instances? I'm wondering if the keyless entry is falsely sending the lock signal. I notice this problem even while I'm driving. I don't think its external interference since the code sent should be digital - or am I wrong?

Now I'm reluctant to leave the keys in the car and the car running for fear of lockout. Any suggestions on the root of the problem and what to do to resolve it?

Sounds like there might be a short or something, does the locks do that when you go over a bump or around a corner or something like that?
