What kinda board should i use ? Can i just build it, then put the subs in, or do i have to insulate it and stuff ??

you want to use MDF..... when you are building it use some wood glue and wood screws.... the box needs to be built before you screw the subs in...
3/4 inch MDF is the best route...
I used some Indoor/Outdoor window/door caulking to make it completely airtight in the inside... just lay a nice bead and run your finger across it to smooth it and seal it..

go ahead... my trunk is completely empty right now... it's all sitting in my kitchen right now in pieces... I personally have been building stuff this time and I'm having a blast... hopefully the vison in my head works out in real life... if you have any questions on how the old set up was done please feel free to contact me...
