I'm new to NECO but i have been following up for performance parts available for the Cougar for quite some time....aparently there is a turbo being made spefically for the Zetec cougar as stated on the web page http://www.performancefords.com/products/turbo/zetec.html would like to hear other people's points of view on this turbo....Aparently comes with the intercooler (very very sweet) and blow off valve (which we all now sounds too sweet)...

all i know is what i read on the web site.....go to (http://www.performancefords.com/products/turbo/zetec.html) where it states there what the actual costs will be....you can make a deposit on one already so i'm sure this is somethin to be lookin forward to other than having to custom fabricate your own turbo....this one comes with the intercooler and blow off valve as well which are major pluses....custom fabricating your own turbo even when you do the work yourself becomes costly and difficult when it comes to attempting to install an intercooler

I have a love/hate thing for performance fords...
They've had a turbo listed in the making for quite some time now.....im still awaiting details from them, but alas...my inbox still reads empty...
I also tried talking to them about TB optimizing pricing, special delas, etc....after about 3 emails...no more comments...
sure there are possiblities....as for me...im keeping my eye on the Anderson Turbo Kit being made by Kahn Motorsports, that to me looks delicious:biggrin:
but hey...if anyone finds anything, please post it...information is always appreciated

Do they make a Turbo kit for the Zetec Cougar specific application?....I have been to their web site and i have only seen the turbo kit available for the focus....Have you spoken to them at all?....The ideal Turbo kit would include the intercooler as a direct fit to the zetec cougar....if it includes the BOV, that would also kick ass...gotta love that sound...gotta..."made to fit" are the keys words....then again if they never make a turbo kit for our cars, it's neat to see homemade creations....that way every zetec cougar can be truly unique as far as the turbo's go...now how many type r's and civics can say that?....damn them civics....damn them all

Hey everyone, I spoke with a rep from performance ford about the cougar specific turbo kit for the zetec(i dont even own a zetec and im workin sh*t). Here the deal. The turbo will be running low psi's(5-9, and therefore shouldnt need much engine internal modifications) and a conservative estimate of 185-200 horses at the crank. Some sort of fuel management systme will also be included, as well as a 3rd party blow of valve(i.e. HKS). Dyno tests are currently being done and release date for this is expected early january. Prices, although undetermined, should be around 2,500. For more info hit up there site, but i think this is exciting news. Hopefully everything goes through as planned.

lol, i have a job, but i have a GF, therefore i am broke too. I dont think it would be too hard to work my A$$ off and save 3000 though, it just might take a year or so. Im totally up to it though, i just want some concrete evidence that this is a nice kit.
