Hi all, I just bought my coug a month ago. Ive been posting this week on a diff. forum, but didnt know there was a LI NECO.
Im living in Port Jeff, and I just bought a 2k2 35th Ann. I could use some advice on where to start with mods

Hey, where in Port Jeff are you in? I used to live right by Ward Melville, and currently work at the Outback in Setauket. If you can, go to your settings and turn on your Private Messages...PMs. It makes contact with people much easier. There are a bunch of members on Long Island, ranging from Patchouge to Massappequa and Staten Isand.
Also, is your cougar an auto or MTX.
As for mods, there are endless possiblilites including lots of cosmetic stuff like body kits and rims, or performance stuff like intake, exhaust and much more. Its all depends on what you want to start off with. Keep checkin back here and we will do what we can.

I live right by Ward Melville also. Off of Sheep Pasture Rd. by the Greek Church.
I think Im gonna start with an intake system first, but I cant make up my mind between
Injen and WeaponR. I cant decide what body kit, so Ill just have to wait until after the winter.

Thanks for the info. Its new "guy". I just met Pablo since he works about 5 min from my house. I was telling him that I have a heated garage, and sometime this winter any of the locals are welcome to come by and do some mods. Im starting to have some regrets on my coug though. I went with the looks of choice and settled for the ATX. Now im already considering a swap, and I only have 1700 miles on it. Anyone know anything about Level10, and if it compares to doing a swap?

Whoohoo! A new boy! And a garage! Can this girl get any luckier?! Welcome to NECO, Christopher. You'll find us very amusing...and you'll learn a lot, too. Good luck with everything and if you should need anything, just ask!

About Level 10, there are many mixed reviews about it. There are many people with very poor experiences and problems that have resulted from upgraded tranny work. Also, you may not want to void your warranty as early as 2k on your car. There are many other mods you can do to increase performance. Dont worry about the Tranny just yet. Check out the 2.5 Duratec performance threads and see what they have to say. Put in a search for Level 10 there, and see what ya get.

Heated Garage= mod meet SOON!!!!!!!!!!!

Santa just brought me a new laptop! Last week I went christmas shopping for the wifey, and ended up picking up a gateway P4 2.0Gig notebook for myself. DAMN I'm greedy  Now all I need is to get the wireless router to hook up OOL in my room. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do this set up? I know that most of you are Computer friendly, and I need help! My girl is going shopping for me on Tuesday and needs to know where to go and what to pick up. Thanks

My suggestion:
Dont go wireless!
Ill run the ethernet cable for you. I have the crimp tools and all the cable youll need. Wireless is not only really expensive, it still has some problems. In offices it works out, but in your home there is a lot of room for interference. You will have to get a wireless router, & wireless access card. VERY COSTLY. If you go the wireless route despite my suggestion, lemme know and I can configure your router. If you go the copper route, Ill tell you exactly what you need to buy and set it up also. Just lemme know.

omigod.. meets meets meets. I'm gonna have to rely on all of you to save me doe on installs etc. My garage is just collecting stuff. Oh btw.. im in need of some lowering springs now that i have my st200 struts. Yaaay me!

btw.. im running a wireless router here at home on a cable connection with 2 machines (server and desktop) on a cables and my laptop is on wireless. its setup so if you come near here you cant use it ;) but i once got locked out coming home from work and sat on my stairs browsing the web. LOL.
Wireless router was 180 about a year and half ago. should be about 100 now i would think. wireless nic cards on your laptop will run you about 100. PCI nics.. not really sure about price.

Only thing i can tell you is to go for simple.. not overly complex. What im talking about is the router itself. im not sure how much you know about routers so i dont want to go to deep and be all geeky. lol. but im running the SMC Wireless Router and an SMC EZ Wireless PCMCIA Card. the same router is being used for 2 other machines. so 3 total right now.. but i may need to bring in a 2nd server in here soon. so i'll have to break out the hub.

Pablo just msg me on AIM or something.

Umm, ya think Pablo hijacked that thead? It's all good. Soooooooo, when are we getting together? Oh, and another thing...I found a new Cougar forum to play on! It's www.cougarnuts.com (http://www.cougarnuts.com) and the site is for Cougar enthusiasts from all years. They have a small section for our 'new' cats and even have chat rooms on AOL like we do sometimes. They're pretty cool and I've even made friends with a new girl! I told her she could come onto NECO and check us out and of course I'll invite her to our next meet. So, if you're interested, check it out :)
