Ok it's official, taking the fuel filler pipe out of the gas tank is THE hardest thing I have ever done on my car. I can't beleive how difficult it was to slide it out.... anyhow fuel tank is sitting on garage floor, ready for new pump, exhaust is hanging on wall and half the front end is already off.... tomorrow is where we get to have some fun :)

Just kidden......fuel pump's a ***** eh??? Ford might be doing mine for me this Friday.

I've read somewhere (can't remember where though) that you don;t need to drop the fuel tank to do it..

I dropped the fuel tank to fix something else on the tank also.... a long long long long time ago (and yes i'm embarassed) i put a hole in the tank... well the patch is coming off and it's leaking again.....
EDIT: and i tested the pump.... it's fried
Why did you drop the tank? Take the grommet out of the floor and cut a access hole and remove the pump from the rear seat heck you don't even have to drain the fuel. OK I see now

OK not so much of a nightmare anymore.... last night went by without a hitch... no problems at all, and everything is off the engine, i litterally just need to pull the mounts and yank the engine :)

Got my fingers crossed. You do realize that once you get it all situated we will have an MC-NECO Track day at Milan again :)

oh yeah and brad... your laptop has a ford cd loaded in it and is being constantly used... very very useful to have around... kudos for you for letting me use it...
also tonite is gonna be big night so if any of the windsor people with a digital camera want to stop by the engine WILL be coming out tontie, and well taking pics of this will be fun....
I should have new engine tomorrow evening at it's earliest of Friday after work
