On September 8th, we plan on going to Rock Falls, WI (near Eau Claire) for "Import Days" a ay where you get to spend 35 dollars and race all day. If you don't feel like racing, and you want to hang out in the pits or just watch some hella fast cars, it costs ten bucks.
Please RSVP in this thread if you wish to attend.

AfterBurner didn't mention that although it is called "Import Days" Cougars are allowed since they are front-wheel drive. The first time I raced my car, John and I actually saw a Cougar race. If you guys like to test your equipment, this is a great way to do it legally and without a huge $ outlay. It would be great to see you there!

I'll most likely be going :) I am not sure if my car will be there or not though. I am hoping I get everything back before september but it may not be possible. I'll drive out just to see the racing though. I have never been to a track yet.

I'm planning on being there...I was just there a couple weeks ago for "muffler days", a buddy wanted to test a new computer and exhaust on his 96 Impala. I plan on bringing my mustang out there this fall for "fun days", so this would be good practice... y'know , get used to the light.
Anyway, I'm planning on bein out there.

Ya that would be cool...as long as you don't mind an impala taggin along.Two of my buddies are comin along. (we're all in kind of a muscle car group of friends...but they want to see all the cougars.)
What time are you leaving , and where are we meeting?
I live in burnsville, by the center.

I think I will be making the trip also.
Go ahead and layout the departure time and where we should meet up. Shotgun will be open for anybody not wanting to drive.
So if half the cars pay to race and the other half only pay to watch, does that mean that the non racing cars need to park off in a lot somewhere or can we keep all of the cars together?

Is the Impala a FWD car? They let domestics run, but only if they are FWD.
I think Batgirl already posted this, but we are meeting in Woodbury at like 6:00 6:30. Then we will caravan down with the MN-DSM club.

About meeting in Woodbury.... I'm gonna be at one of my best friends wedding on the 7th, so I'm not to sure tht I will be in any shape to be ready to go at 6 am. I might just have to meet you guys out there. I'm still plannin on comin though.:shrug:

We are now leaving the house at 7:30 am. I hope that helps. Believe me, I am no morning person, either. Ok this this just a friendly reminder to anyone who expressed interest in racing this weekend. The link to the details is posted in my post above. We will be departing at 7:30 am on Sunday morning from my house in Woodbury (directions are in the link). If you would like to simply meet us there, here is the for the directions to Rock Falls: Rock Falls Raceway (http://www.rockfallsraceway.com/location.shtml) . You can arrive later than we plan to get there if getting up that early is an issue. They qualify until noon and bracket racing at 1:00 pm.
I really hope we will see some NECO people at this event. It is sad that we haven't had one meet yet.
