After 20+ hours of trying to diagnose my car's condition, she's on the flatbed around dinnertime tomorrow. I strongly feel that it's the pcm. If the costs are too high, there will be a cougar for sale. I'm crossing my fingers and if anyone drives by Pat Millikan ford, make sure they're taking good care of her.

The problem with electrical failure is often the time required to diagnose them.
Good luck Jeff! I hope it's nothing really bad.

What ended up being the problem? I had all those issues in Florida, and I still blow that engine management fuse. Not to mention, my alarm LED on the center console button control thing...yeah, that blinks slightly as I drive, and blinks much brighter as I am getting on the throttle. It seems to be a power management problem, or a bad voltage regulator, which is built into the alternator I am told. I want to find a 2001-2002 alternator. Ford is a bunch of idiots and finally put a bigger alternator in after having so much problem with the first batch of Cougars. Let me know what you found out, and perhaps we can share information and solve both of our problems.
Thanks!
Nic
