(I'm still scratching my head alittle) ATX or MTX? V6 or I4? NOS? Aftermarket ECU? Any other engine or transmission work?

Answer these questions and I'll get back to you...

I have a 2000 V6 atx with about 20k on it, and when you first start the car up after it has been cold the rpms are still up and if you shift it down to drive while the rpms are still up around 1200 it will buck on you since thats esentially neutral dropping it from 1200rpm basically.

I didn't think it bucked like crazy but it is a little jerk, nothing major, maybe yours is something else, I am just telling my similar experince.

I'm going to agree with Red2kCougar. Your RPMs were too high. Be careful with this or you will tear up your transmission.

I have a '99 ATX and my RPMs do run about 1200 on cool days, so this is normal. Just throttle the engine a couple of times until the RPMs drop below 1000.

Bad fuel pump or your tranny fluid is low. While driving down the highway I went to pass a truck & my car started bucking, checked the tranny fluid & it was low.
