How many active members are there in Alabama? I thought it might be cool to go to a dragstrip around here as a group. Holiday is an eighth mile track open on Thursdays from 5-9 and Steele is a quarter mile track opened on Friday from 10pm- like 2am or so. It would be a long drive for mast GA people so I don't know if anyone will be interested or not, but it would be fun!

Are these places in B-ham? And how much does it cost? And how does it work? :shrug: I'm interested.
I really want to race my ride before I do any engine mods, to gauge any improvement.

Steele is off of 459 almost to gadsden. There you pay $10 for a guy and nothing for a girl. You can race an unlimited number of times between ten and and twoish. There are usually lots of cars there with alot of ricers and mustangs and street cars. It is usually really crowded so you wouldn't get to race as much there, but it is 1/4th mile. Holiday is off of 59 in Tuscaloosa County in McCalla (near bessemer). You pay $10 a car and an extra $5 to race unlimited number of times between 5 and 9. There are usually more promods there than street cars. You don't have to wait in line long. The track is 1/8th mile and not quite as nice as Steele.
