Hello everyone, new Maryland member. Just wanted to drop in and make myself known. I've been checking in on the boards here from time to time. Just had Trevor work out my lost password info and such so I could return as an active and productive member.
Not much to tell you right now about myself or my car, that will come as I get familiar with the people and hopefully show at a get together or two.
Right now I've done the following to my Silver Frost Cougar:
The nice embroidered 4 piece floor mats
Single wiper mod
Clear w/silver backed side markers
Blue window tint
And I'll stick a recent photo (http://mywebpages.comcast.net/skareiva/car1.jpg) of my car for all to check out.
Hello :)
Welcome to MD NECO
What is your real name?
Specs on your kitty?
Where area ya live in?
Plan on coming to any meets?

Welcome to MD NECO Steve..
I like the way that blue tint looks on the silver.. Glad I'm not the only one with the single wiper.. (although you are still the only one with the single wiper mod on a working car. ;))... Short notice, but you should go to Cougarfest.. or at least stop by for the upcoming meet to get a chance to meet some of us and check out some of the other cars in the area as well as us meet you.
EDIT: Come on Andy! ;)
Real Name: Stephen Kareiva
Resides: Owings Mills, MD
Silverfrost - Sports Package
Assuming V6, cuz only geeks like me get the i4.

Andy, welp Merc gave you the starter info. It's a 2000, pretty much stock except for the stuff I listed. Want to do the little bulb hookup in the headlights, maybe some other stuff, who knows.
Merc, thanx for being the sleuth. :) And yes, it is a V6. C'mon, it was only $500 more for the 6 cyl.
Yea guys, I plan on trying to get to a couple of meets. I saw the one you guys did, I think last year about this time, @ Kings Dominion. And you seem to do one about once every other month so I can't see why I couldn't make it to a few.
(although you are still the only one with the single wiper mod on a working car ;) ) Eww Merc, that statement just scares me. I just got it back from the shop a month ago, no jinxes please! :)
I'm going to check out the CougarFest link, find out about it and see how short a notice it is to go.
Thanx for the welcome guys and gal,
Steve

Welcome to MD NECO Steve
Check out my MD link in my signature for pics of recent meets; we have at least one a month. Last year we were part of Capital NECO so there were not as many meets but since we've grown and formed our own chapter we have a lot more. Hope you can make it to CougarFest :)

Ok folks, I just checked out CougarFest real quick. Yes it is short notice, and a bit of a haul. Don't think I'll be able to pull it off, unfortunately. I'd also kinda like to start out at a local meet or some chapter get together in the tri-state/district area. I know I'll miss meeting a boatload of NECO members, including you folks that are going. But thanx for the invite!

welcome!! glad to have a new member. as tweeter has said, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. we are all here because we love our cars, so don't be intimidated. i will advise you to use the "search" function to look for answers...you'd be amazed how much info is on the boards!! if you can't find your answer, just ask us!! hope you can make it to a meet to put faces with names!
Welcome! Sorry to hear you won't make it to CougarFest, but definitely try to come on the 14th to wash the cars...

Hey Stephen I'm out in your near area from time to time. Where do you hang out there? I'm not real familiar with Owings Mills, but I do get out there.

Ok, lemme go down the line here.....
Chrissy & Tigg, after checking what I've got going on, I can't make it this weekend for the detailing meet. Stinks 'cause I was going to bring my vacuum along if anyone needed one. Figured I'd offer up something useful. And the menu looked right up my alley, HOT spicy foods!
Yssupkat, after seeing all the altzetta (sp) threads while lurking, I got used to the idea of using the search for anything I needed to know. If you can't find it there, then you ask. Thanx for the greeting and kind advise.
Patrick, don't really hang out anyplace up here. At least not with my car. I know there's some people who gather @ Reisterstown Shopping Center, I think, and one or two other places. Other than that, you'll find me @ Bateman's. Hmmmm, wings from hell.....
Tweeter, sorry I didn't get back to you about meeting on Rte. 1 on Sat. My old roommate was having his house warming party. I had to be there for that. Lots of fun had by all.
As busy as we all can be sometimes, I WILL get out to meet some of you. So far, unfortunately, I'm batting 1000. Terrible slump. But when I do, I'll try and bring my friend John along. He's on the board and his board name is JohnCat.
Again, thanx for the warm welcome guys,
Steve
