Im leavin Verizon since my bills are rediculous and they have crappy plans right now. Im lookin at either Nextel or Voicestream. If u have either of these two services... how do you feel about em, is the service good, lost calls, no signal?

2 of my friends dropped Voicestream for Verizon...cause I always have reception and never have problems making calls, and they never had a signal. Plus I had night and weekend minutes, and they have just weekend...and my friend went over minutes every month.
I'm on the $35 plan from Verizon...Nationwide coverage, no roaming, 300 anytime minutes, and 4000 night and weekend. They offer unlimited night and weekend with wireless web for an extra $5 a month...so far I have yet to go over minutes...
Sounds like a commercial...
Too bad I don't work for these companies...they pay excellent commissions...

I am a happy Verizon customer, I'd stay with Verizon if I were you. I guess the prices may be a bit higher if you go with VoiceStrem or Nextel, but in NJ you can't beat the Verizon quality.
Hey here comes another commercial.... if anybody reads this and is about to become a Verizon customer, make sure to let either me or jeremy know. I think we can get discounts off of our bills for referring new customers :)
Pete
EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm also on the $35 plan. I use about half of the daytime minutes allowance, and I don't even come close to using the 3000 nights and weekends minutes.

my girlfirend has voice stream and she hates it , i hate it .. she cant even get reception on the campus she lives on and it the biggest campus in the state. not to mention there is about 5000 other people there who get reception.
s for nextel they are more of a better buisness or comapny phone. although the 2 way feature they have is nice. the guy i work with who deals with the customer service says that the ustomer service sucks but the phone plans are pretty good. .
as for verizon i hated them . i was sick of getting 170 phone bills. so i said might as well pay the early cancellation fee then pay that every month, plus they hammer you with charges that i have never heard of . but right now i have cingular(formally snet ) dunno if you guys have that in jersey. but i have really no comaplints about them. they answer all my questions and i can upgrade my plans without extending my contract. right now i pay 45 a month for 500 minuts and 4500 weekends with no long distance and no roaming.

Nextel sux unless you are in new york.... voice stream sux period.... this is streight from the customers we sold them too.... Verizon is the best service arround as far as coverage but if you need an alternative, i might suggest Sprint... they have some good price plans and pretty good service ...
Hope this helps

nextel is awesome but also sucks. its good in the northern area but down south it sucks..... the price also sucks and is only good if you own a company and have many people that would use them. we use them for work and its great but once the drivers go down south they can't be reached over the two way but the regular phone works.

Stay with Verizon, Voicestream SUX. I didnt get any signal with my phone at your house. Or for about five minutes before your house.
