Got the protoype today and was able to take some pics. The pics show a powder coated red and in the configuration for the SVT Contour. A 3 hole model will also be available for all other Duratecs. Available colours will be red, blue and polished aluminum.

Biggest question is.... HOW MUCH?
Can you put like a package together bundling that, the billit maf adapter and that filter you guys have at a little bit of a discount price?
I could possibly be interested depending on price of course... :)
Although I just found out AEM is lookign to make an intake for our cars so I will probably hold out a little longer and see what comes along there.

Nice Mirko Racing MAF adapter. ;)
If anyone is in the market for an intake, there seem to be quite a few coming down the road.. personally I'd wait and see what AEM is offering, as well as other manufacturers, before jumping on any one. :)

Actually, we're aiming for $75.00USD for the intake pipe with couplings and clamps. The powdercoating doesn't come cheap. :( As far as a full package, for sure we will work out a price to include the existing filter replacement kit, $150.00??? or less. We're in the preliminary stages and I guess I should ask for a consensus on colour. Powdercoating has to be done in bulk so we would get one colour done at a time. If we happen to run short on a certain colour, it would have to fall into the schedule at a later date to be completed.

When we finally get the ball rolling with the powdercoat shop, the pieces will be done in batches based on colour. Say for instance, this week may be red pieces, next week blue pieces.
What we should do is to get a list going as to what colours, but before we do, I would like to evaluate the blue powdercoat to see if it goes well with the couplings we are supplying. Hold tight.

Drew, it was quite a surprise to me that the pieces finally came back, finished. I have been waiting for some 3 weeks to get the 2 samples back. I didn't say anything cause I wasn't sure when I would get them back.
can i get one un-powdercoated, as i can do this myself?

All I know is I want a Polished Alum. one ASAP. I have the cash in hand, and am waiting for this instead of the aussie pipe I was going to order this weekend. Any ETA on this product for us?
THanks a ton!

The one currently on our SVT is a BAT pipe. The only minor issues with the BAT pipe is the overall length of the pipe as well as the step from 3" to 2 1/2" in the pipe itself. Really which pipe you choose boils down to aesthetics. We chose to mimic the stock hose layout, having the fittings vertical instead of horizontally across, which allowed us to shorten the installed length as to be about the same as the stock flex tube. Also, it is considerably lighter than the pipe that is on the SVT at the moment.
As far as non powdercoated pipes, I suppose we could work something out for customers whom would prefer to have no powdercoating, which would reduce the cost.
ETA, we're looking to start off with a batch of about 20 to 30 pieces, consisting of a combination of 4 and 3 port pipes. We are presenting these to the CEGr's too. If we get enough interest, we would hope to have the pieces ready sometime this month, or early next month. Non powdercoated pieces would ship out sooner.
I would like to ask that whomever is interested in purchasing, send me an email so that I can tally the number of interested buyers. Please note whether you require a 3 port or 4 port pipe (SVT Contour mainly)
Thanks.

I want a purple one :)
Or blue, but rather purple..... nick could u powder coat mine if i got one? hehe
I want a blue one to go with the Mirko MAF adapter! Seriously though they look nice and the 4 hole version would be ideal for the Mirko users.

I'm certain that it would make a nice complimentary piece to the Mirko Racing MAF adapter. :) And the 4 hole one would be perfect since you can do your IAT relocation back into the pipe.
Looks like lots of people are coming out with intakes for our cars. Great news. :) I'm gonna wait a bit myself as there are lots of other upcoming ones, then I'd like to compare them all.

You say your shooting for $75 powerdercoated, what would be the price for a non-powerdercoated one?
Also what would a non-powdercoated one look like?

Make sure you guys post this in the Group Buy section whenever you're ready to roll.

Figure on $65.00USD for non coated pieces. The thing about posting in the group buy is that the prices that I have been mentioning will be the price for the parts at this time. Gotta figure on capital costs to get the ball rolling. However, that is the best place to post and I shall do so once we have pieces ready to go.
