Hello Everyone...
I'm from the Dallas area, and I've had my Cougar for a while now, but I'm about to start fixing it up. I could use a little help if you don't mind. Maybe meet up with some of you. I'm really glad i found this site, I had no idea it existed. Thank ya! Ashlee

Ashlee,
Welcome to Lone Star NECO!!! You'll find there are a fairly large group of us here in the Lone Star state interested in modifying our cars and have a pretty extensive body of knowledge about what does and doesn't work for the Cougar, as well as the best places to shop for parts for the car! If you need any help or information, all you have to do is ask! There are numerous meets among our members, so if you're looking to see what people have done to their cars, show up at a meet, or ask for some pictures! Again, welcome, and we're really glad to have you aboard!
Sincerely,
Charles

P.S. If you "enable" your PMs (private messages), you will be able to ask specific people questions and they will be able to answer you without having to post every time...you can do this by going to "profile" at the top of the page and scrolling down to "allow private messages". Just click on "yes" and you're done!

Welcome to Lonestar NECO, Ashlee! Just to echo what Charles said, feel free to ask any of us about goings on of the group, mods you have in mind or think you might want to do, problems with the Cougar, etc. There are a number of members in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, and some in the surrounding areas as well (I personally am in Waco) who love getting together and hanging out. As a matter of fact, a good number of us are planning on going to the CEG (Contour Enthusiast Group) national meet in the Dallas area coming up later this month, and you're certainly welcome to come and join us... the more Cougars there, the better!

Also, like Charles said, Private Messages are a great way to contact people quickly and easily to ask questions or just strike up a conversation. Be sure to keep an eye on this forum (and feel free to jump in with any ideas you might have for meets, etc) for news on chapter events. Again, welcome to the group!

Hi welcome to the boards. I joined a little over half a year ago and this site has really helped me out with aftermarket products for cougars and the people are also friendly and extremely helpful. I live in Carrollton if you know where that is. BTW, do you have an automatic or manual?

NO, I said ah low, but thats close enough

Sunnyvalle is close to where I live. I go there sometimes because they have nice antique shops there.
I would also like acknowledge that you are a fellow ATXer. If you have any questions about exhaust especially for an ATX let me know. See you around in the other forums

I'm seventeen... Sunnyvale is about 15 miles east of Dallas. Close to Mesquite.

I live 5 miles from mesquite. I try to avoid it though, its the home of lame white guys who pretend to be from the ghetto.
Their mascott is the mesquito i think when it come to highschool foot ball, the funny thing about that is in nature only female mesquitos attack.

Yeah! That's the truth. Luckily, I go to North Mesquite. So where are you from?

Well I graduated Bishop Lynch, and i still live within 10 miles of it unfortunately.
After Bishop Lynch I went to the Dallas Institue Of Funeral Service, luckily they had a mortuary school in dallas,. Sad thing is though, that its located right down the road from bishop lynch. SO i have been stuck in Dallas for quiet a while. I was able to become a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer by the time I was 19. It has it's advantages, but I just turned 23 and feel as though I should still be going to school even though Im done. All my friends went to 4 year colleges, so I was done long before they were. All I have is my 2 wolves, and 4 cats to occupy my time. Oh yeah and the cougar hehe.
Which reminds me IM thinking about selling my 2 porsches to get money for a supercharger, and other mods.So if anyone here is interested In 2 1977 Porsches 924, Im selling one for 6k and the other for 3k.

OH... I know quite a few people that go to BL. I thought about it, but I went to visit and changed my mind. A Funeral Director huh? I don't think I could handle that one. I'd have nightmares for the rest of my life! Anyways, nice to meet ya!
