'68 Cougar Script-pics

I've had these for months & finally decided to put them on (Yes, I'm keeping my car...link to that post later...). I know I'll probably be copied, sucks. But these take some looking for, especially for ones in near mint condition like these.

To adhear them I used some 3M liquid Adhesive (don't bother trying to carve around them w/body moulding tape). I cut the prongs off the back & filled in the back of the letters so it would be a smooth surface. Came out good and adds a very classy feel to the car.

BTW, when playing around w/where to put them I tried it on the center of the trunk & it looks awesome. But I only had 2 & wanted to keep the back clean.

Looks nice...I've had a set of three sitting around here for months now...just haven't decided wether or not to put them on. Maybe now I'll get inspired! Haha!

Don't worry about getting copied. I had my Cougar Script on my car for almost a year before I told anyone
about it on the forums just so I wouldn't get copied. I finally decided people could copy my idea, but I was
the original and I could always say glad to see you like what I did to my car so much you copied it, hehe.

Oooooh...no. See, you have it on the rear right? I never intended on doing that. I had the COUGAR that came with our car on my doors for like 2 years. Just this January I bought those off Ebay and planned on putting them on the new car but that fell through. Then everyone started talking about the old Coug scripts and I felt I had to get them on before someone copied me.

So if someone puts them on the rear you can yell at them. When they put them on the doors I can yell :)

I know about the doors. I was around when you did it with the original letters and remember you posting
about it. I just was saying don't worry about people copying, they will and you can just be proud they are
copying you.

it looks REAL good, though...but I didn't do the same b/c I didn't wanna seem like I'm copying her...that and I don't even HAVE those door guard thingys

that's exactly why i haven't put the cougar scripts i bought in january on my car. i don't want to "copy" anyone. mine are off a '69 cougar and i wanted to get them re-dipped. i'm just going to hold off so that i don't offend anyone. my plans were to put them where JS did. so...i LOVE yours JS!! :biggrin:
