June 15th - Multi-car-club meet. Hmmm....

I posted about this a month or so ago... so now its time to see who wants to go.

The event is put on by a guy in Stratusphere that goes by the alias jhrody. Apparently there are supposed to be like 20 car clubs getting together with cruising, music, contests, and door prizes... and trophies. There's also food and drink (not free), but registration for the event is free.

I think this should be our next meet, are you interested? Can we make a good cougar showing?

It will be Saturday, June 15th. from 11am until 11pm. I vote we get there comfortably late at 12-12:30.

Strats Drive In
231 E. North Ave
Villa Park, IL.

I say we arrive together as a group... :biggrin: so we should meet somewhere nearby and caravan there... Target on the corner of Ardmore and North is only a block or two away according to MapQuest. So we will meet at Target at 10:30. We will leave Target at 10:50.

I don't believe we've ever done a multi-car meet before... with the exception of one trip to Byron with Contours and F&F with the Eclipses. So this should be an interesting opportunity to get to see what is getting done with some other nice cars.

If you are interested in going... let me know so I know I'm not showing up by myself. :)

Checkin my calendar . . . Holy flapjacks, Batman! You have a Saturday off that coincides with a Cougar meet! Hey folks, count me in . . . meeting at Target of Villa Park at 11:30's all right, but since I'm just a country boy driving up from near Iowa, you may have to allow me a few extra minutes to arrive. It'll be nice to finally meet some of you guys . . . and hopefully my baby'll have her black eye fixed by then.

just a note: this is going to fill up fast...if i only told you how many clubs that i didnt invite myself are now showing, besides the original invites.........so maybe even 1130 might be too late to get in the lot. Well be parking em in very tight though...

im still waiting to see how many trophies Strats supplies, but this is mainly about meeting and hanging out legally while not pissing anyone off.

As much as I hate getting up at the ass-crack of dawn (and believe me, 6:30 on a Saturday is DEFINITELY the ass-crack), I'm still planning on joining up with you guys . . . I'll just have to cut short my standing around in parking lots and pissing people off on Friday night :biggrin: See you all then . . .

well i looked on expedia, and it says it will take ya about 2hrs to get to villa park where the show is and you basically just take 90 the whole way, so it would be easier for you to just meet us at the target

the only other thing, is I could meet ya at Woodfield Mall, but I am not sure if there is an exit from 90 to woodfield or not, and getting lost would not be good

but i can always pm ya my cell # so if you get lost or anything you can just call, let me know what you want to do! :)

Well, If you are going chris, I am going for atleast an hour. I have to be to work at 130, but it is just right down the street. I finally got my driving permit and this place is literally down the block from my house. So I canget away with driving there and if i get pulled over just say I am driving to work.

You probably won't need to bring anything... chair to sit maybe... food/drink if you want... but they sell some stuff there I guess. :)

My parents called last night... there are some Sprint Car Races in Plymouth, WI ---- I ditched my family last weekend when I was about 30 minutes away from their house.... Looks like Saturday is booked for me now... I'm still free Friday and Sunday... but... well... thats probably no help eh?

So, I got woken up about 10 minutes ago to the tune of my cell phone ringing . . . and lo and behold, it was my boss at work. Apparently his wife's in the process of pinching out their baby right now, and since he's scheduled to open the restaurant and I'm scheduled off, guess who's got to be to work in five hours? If you guessed me, I owe you a cookie at the next meet I'm able to make.
